Gouda, pepperjack and jerky!
*knows Boo will run away from this post*
We spent ALL weekend making venison jerky. Usually, we process the "scrap meat" into hamburger, breakfast sausage, jerky and summer sausage. Well, this year we still have a ton of burger and summer sausage left, and aren't that thrilled about our recipe for breakfast sausage, so EVERYONE decided they wanted jerky. We grind the meat, add seasonings, roll it into sheets and put in the smoker. We did 75% of it in the smoker and are finishing the rest out on the dehydrator at home today. It's a really long process and we had about 60 lbs of meat to do. Ugh.
So today I share with you some REALLY good jerky in the following flavors:
1) Smoked Inferno
2) Smoked Pepper & Garlic
3) Smoked Sweet & Hot
4) Sweet & Hot (a spicy teriyaki)
5) Jerk

You should have jerky...something else to keep your mind of the smokes.

My dad used to make moose jerky in the smokehouse on the farm. Yummy!

I've never tried any kind of jerky, and I'm ok with that.

I've made beef jerky with flank steak. Yum.
