Appenzeller (a style of swiss) and crackers today.
I put some books up for sale on Amazon yesterday. Two of the seven sold within thirty minutes. Yay!
This is motivating me to get stuff together for ebay. Monday would be a good day for that since I have off work. Do you have stuff you should put on e-bay?
ETA: Make that four of the seven books. Yay!

Great. I've invoked spammers.
You can sell books on Amazon? Cool. Wish I had known that before getting rid of 3 boxes of books.
Kim, how do you sell them on Amazon? I have a lot of books that I have read (and will not read agan) that are in great shape.
Congrats on selling four of the seven!!
There's a link to "sell your stuff" on the amazon.com front page toolbar. I looked up what the used books were going for on amazon (softcovers of older books aren't worth selling). I then priced my stuff a few cents below the lowest used price. Their seller fees aren't too bad. It was about $10 for the four books I sold and I made $32. They credit you $3.49 or so for shipping expenses since the seller pays those. It was quick and easy to set up a seller account and list the items.
Congrats! Do you want to help me sell stuff at my place?
Hey! I posted right under Nookie earlier! And now there's nothing there. I hate Blooger.
What kind of books were you selling?
Wow, Kim, that's cool. I have some stuff I need to sell. I have a Palm PDA that's new in box that I've had for over a year - maybe 2. I paid $100 for it originally, but since I'm a slothful, lazy idiot, I never got rid of it. There's other stuff too. I didn't know you could sell books on Amazon!
However, I do know my DD saved me a ton of money by buying her textbooks on half.com this semester!
Hooray for you.
I've never put stuff up on Ebay, but I bought dad a signed Ovechkin jersey and he LOVES it.
I'm selling mostly popular fiction and non fiction. If anything is older than 2005, it's likely not worth selling is what I found. And popular paperbacks are litterally worth about .02. But I had a few purchases from 2005 & 2006 that I didn't particularly love and didn't mind parting with.
MTW, sell that Palm now! As the technology increases, your price will go down the tubes.
I have a gazillion football cards that I should dump on Ebay. I'm just too lazy.
If you got $1 for each, you'd have a gazillion dollars.
I have so much stuff I could put on ebay.
Thanks for the tip! I'll have to check out selling books on amazon. I've sold concert tickets and bridge boards for duplicate bridge tournaments on ebay. I've bought concert tickets.
I've discovered a site where you can swap books for other books. They've almost always had the books I'm looking for. You only have to pay for the postage on a book when someone requests yours, then you get a credit to request someone elses. It's way cool, and cheap.
But selling books is good too. I may do that.
I just keep books. Forever & ever. I have shelves of books and boxes of books, and shelves filled with boxes of books stacked in the basement. I have cheap 50s paperbacks that belonged to my oldest sister. I have a first edition Edgar Alan Poe. I have books on physics and psychics and poetry. Books are good. I keep books.
Mr Monsty has all sorts of awards next to his ebay name. after he gets bored with a new toy, he sells it on ebay-- computers and electronics only.
He donates his text books and the like to the library-- not so much out of the kindness of his heart as for the tax write off. The lazier crowd might want to consider this as an option.
Anyhoo! All Stah has been walking around the house saying "brie, brie, brie". He must be talking about your blog and putting in a request. Do you take cheese requests?
I'll take any Janet Evanovich and Tony Hillerman.
We could do a book exchange!
Ooh, I know that site you are talking about df. For my older books and popular paperbacks that won't fetch much on ebay, I'll check that out. And as Monsty said, I'll clear out any I can't get rid of by library donation. Maybe they can sell them for .50 (because I'm sure they have 500 copies of some of my books already).
