What I most wanted to do.

Have some goat cheddar with cranberries today. Blogger is making me grumpy, but what's new.

So you might have seen my clothing thread on OT. We did some refinancing and Chris wants us each to plan something for ourselves with a bit of the money. He's planning either a Canadian hunting or fishing trip next year. I had to figure out what I really wanted to do.

First choice: Food & Wine magazine's event at The American Club in Kohler, WI. Unfortunately, it's $790 MINIMUM (and that doesn't include many "events") for the weekend for two people. I don't know any foodies and wineies that would want to shell out at least $300 on the weekend with me.

Second choice: Clothes shopping (this was on OT). I think it's my wisest choice and would make me happy.

Third choice: Spa day with my sisters. It would be nice, but fleeting.

Fourth choice: Hair makeover at a high end salon and a spa service just for me.

I will not be helpful because I still stand by my answer on OT.
Another trip to SF. *grin*
ORRRRRRR, you could fly me out to WI for a football game. Hmmmmm, I like that one the best so far. :)

You know, you could've just made your trip in a few weeks a little longer, missy.

Sorry, I'll pass on the cranberries...

Good for you on the refinance! We did it not so long ago in order to redo our kitchen... still the same ole kitchen, and no plans have been made, and the money is still sitting in the bank... silly us!

Mom2bjm, I don't know how you can't be ripping stuff out and buying things for the kitchen by now...I'm antsy like that.

Well, I wouldn't spend it ALL on clothes because that is too practical. I? would buy an art object. The Chicago Field Museum Store has a large Winged Isis that I really, really want. Or I would go to my favorite store in Great Barrington MA and get something for my Asian art collection.

But since you're a foodie/wino I say go with something in that field for at least half the money. Maybe a high-end wine-tasters dinner? There seem to be a few nice ones available either in the fall or at Christmas time.

I love your impracticality, Swami. Someday I hope to give in to my impractical side again.

We ARE going to Fleming's again this week. We received two anniversary coupons from them, so we are having a free wine flight and cheese tray, then heading in to have dinner.

How about a three-day tennis clinic? That sounds WAY better than anything else on your list.

Whatever! You are such a boy.

Oh, does anyone know for sure...is mattben a boy or girl? The clothing thread...and then the suggestion of stuffing the chicken breast with spinach and cheese...those all sound very feminine.

Why not spend half on clothes and then go for a nice facial at the spa? You say that buying some clothes would make you happy.

Don't waste it on your sisters LOL.

It never even occured to me that mattben might be a girl. How odd. I'll have to go see what he/it said on your clothes thread. I myself did not post on that thread because, well... if you saw how I dress, you would understand. :D

I agree with nookie. Spend some on clothes, some on the spa. I bought my sister a half day spa trip in FLA for about $150.

And Bravie, you should have just flown into Milwaukee, and taken the ferry across the pond. That way Kim & I could've met you for that football game.

Combine you and Chris' money and a weekend trip to NYC.

Zombs<---very jealous of extra money.

I think you should come along on Chris' hunting/fishing trip to Canada. He could drop you off here and take Dave fishing with him. It's a win win situation! *grin* We could do some of that female bonding stuff.
