We bought a bedroom set and entertainment center last night. I hope we can make everything look nice when it arrives. The enterainment center was silly cheap, so we couldn't resist. Not our ideal, but good enough. It's four seperate pieces that connect, so we have some flexibility if we end up thinking it's too big someday.

I can't find a pic of the bedroom set. It's cherry veneer over hardwoods and we got the bed, dresser & mirror and an armoire. There wasn't a matching armoire with this set, but we found one that was REALLY close and was inexpensive. I need to hit Target or such to find some side tables for the bed. The one that came with the set was $350 and was massive overkill. All the furniture won't be delivered until 10/10, so now I must get the carpets cleaned.
Chris also got a deal on a subwoofer, which now completes his sound system. They mismarked it, so we got about $40 off the correct price.

Woo hoo! I like the entertainment center. It's fun getting new stuff.
*smooch*
*snort*
I already knew about the new entertainment center and bedroom set. By the way, you confuse your husband. He just doesn't understand you sometimes. *giggle*
Now, would you please get the carpets cleaned before the maid arrives?
You didn't forget the COUPON did you?
*giggle*
I'm having fun today picking on you. Can I make it my full time job?
Oh, and does your current TV fit in the new entertainment center? Because you might need a new one.
AND!!!!! Before the new furniture arrives, you need to paint the bedroom.
Is there an extra bedroom at your place? I could do all of this for you when I run away.
Am I bugging you yet? Do you have it set to email you when there are new comments? You really should.
*smoooooooooooooch*
LOL @ Momma!
Yay for new furniture! I want to see pics of the bedroom set!
Momma + My Husband = Trouble
*giggle*
And yes, runaway here and clean my carpets. You sew, too, right? I need some curtains.
Ooo, I need curtains too, for DD's bedroom. The one that we redid last Labor Day, for her birthday. Labor Day 2006.
If you paint your bedroom purple and silver, we will match.
Don spent $100 on a subwoofer once. He couldn't complain about my purchases for quite a while after that
LOL I love your hubby! He's so much like mine that it's fun to mess with him and not have to deal with him when I get home. *snort*
Yes, I sew. And paint. And operate steam cleaners. I'm so asking Chris if I can run away to your house. Oh who am I kidding? You have all the control over the house.
And by the way - don't drink wine, close the bedroom door and paint. The end result is not pretty.
Will Bravie fly over you getting to Breezy's house?
My neck is getting sore waiting for Bravie to wave. I hope she's sitting on the left side of the plane so I can see her.
It turns out I don't have ALL the household control. He won't let me repaint the bedroom before the furniture comes.
WHAT!?!?!! I'm gonna have to talk to him. How rude of him to rain on our parade!
He's frankly being a little dramatic about it.
Chris = drama queen? *snicker*
I have a feeling that you're getting the same crap I get - I hate it when you start a project and it tears up the whole house for a week, blah blah blah. *rolls eyes* Then when it's all finished and he hasn't lifted a finger, he's all happy and likes it.
Chris can totally be a drama queen, in that man way.
He picked out the paint color and can't admit that it's the wrong color for our bedroom. And for cripes sake, I let him hang the deer head above the mantle. It's like the centerpiece of our house and I'm not one bit pleased about it!
He claims it's green. What color is the bedroom really?
I think it's Behr Eucalyptus Leaf. Similar to the one on the room here:

Not horrid on the paint chip, but it's a bit too glossy blue/green for me. Since the rest of our house is done in prarie colors, it doesn't really go. And it's not exactly romantic. Against the cherry wood, I think it will look silly.
My druthers would be something warm tan or golden yellow/tan.
And I realize you'll all probably tell me you like the green that's already there. And I don't hate it on the paint chip, it just doesn't really "go" with our house or the new furniture.
Stay away from tans. I'll vote with any other color, except tan.
And yes, I realize that my kitchen, living room, and the kids' bathrooms are all some variation of off white/tan/creamed coffee color.
And uhm...Kimmer? They show dark colored furniture in that room....looks nice to me.
I could deal with a slight tonal adjustment in the green. He's even fighting me in that. It's a $20 investment.
Wetherfield Moss and Wild Porcini would be my choices from Behr. Enough green to make it pop, but enough brown to lighten things up.
I think....well.....maybe.
I know, I know, you have brown issues. Do you like the weathered moss?
I do like it. Very pretty. It almost seems a more "relaxing" color.
I still vote purple and silver
Purple and silver is so not a "me" choice.
I love that entertainment center. We have a medium sized one that we stained ourselves. Or, Michael stained it.
LOL at Momma.
Oh, and one of those shelves should house a picture of you and I as Hooter Girls.
You need to call me on the way home tonight.
I'm hungry. What do we have to eat today?
