Karaoke Wednesday

We aren't wearing pants, so what better time to sing a song or two! Grab some deep fried cheese curds and step up to the microphone!

Virtual karaoke is the only thing that might get me to participate. :-)

*cues up Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergie*

I always turn the radio up and sing along with this one. I turned down the radio last night while I was singing to hear my voice. Ouch. It was terrible.

I've found that copious amounts of alcohol will get me up on the stage, which is why I stay away from bars with karaoke.

I love that song. *sings with Kim*

*grin*

"I dug my key in to the side of that pretty little souped up four wheel drive"

You mean it's not "couped up?" I thought maybe the vehicle had been in the garage too long. <---doing my best Bravie imitation

I think Bravie should work on alternate lyrics to keep Breezy entertained on the road trip.

I don't think I've ever heard that song, the Fergie one.

*pauses for the laughter*

Oooh, Boo, go find it and listen.

*clears throat*

Time in new england
Took me away
To long rocky beaches
--and you, by the bay
We started a story
Whose end must now wait

And, tell me
When will our eyes meet
When can I touch you
When will this strong yearning end
And when will I hold you again

Song #2

Even now
When I never hear your name
And the world has changed so much since you been gone
Even now I still remember and the feeling's still the same
And the pain inside of me goes on and on
Even now

Even now when I have come so far
I wonder where you are
I wonder why it's still so hard without you
Even now when I come shining through
I swear I think of you
And God I wish you knew
Some how
Even now

Shall I continue?

Every time I see the name of that song, I automatically think of Frankie Valli's "Big Girls Don't Cry".

*takes a couple of shots and grabs microphone*

"Big girls dont cry, big girls don't cry

Big girls don't cry (they don't cry)
Big girls don't cry (who said they don't cry)
My girl said good-bye (my oh my)
My girl didn't cry (I wonder why)

(Silly boy) Told my girl we had to break up
(Silly boy) Thought that she would call my bluff
(Silly boy) But she said to my surprise
Big girls don't cry

Big girls don't cry (they don't cry)
Big girls don't cry (who said they don't cry)

Baby I was cruel (I was cruel)
Baby I'm a fool (I'm such a fool)

(Silly girl) Shame on you your Mama said
(Silly girl) Shame on you, you cried in bed
(Silly girl) Shame on you, you told a lie
Big girls do cry

Big girls don't cry (they don't cry)
Big girls don't cry (that's just an alibi)"

doo whap, doo whap.

deep fried cheese curds are the best, except they make me poot.

I love that Fergie song too. The video is nice, cause it has my guy Milo in it. Even if the tats are fake.

raisinettes make me poot too

kim (weltek) said...

So don't eat Raisinettes. It's raisins. Nobody actually CRAVES those, right?

I love Craisins. They are way better than yucky old raisins.
