This blog is a collection of things on my mind. Could be serious, could be rambling idiocy. I invite you all to read, debate, ridicule, *whack*, and even give me a little love.

Seriously. Knock it off.
So we are getting ready to leave for our Badger tailgate this morning at 7:00. We notice Loki is hunching to urinate and can't. Fuck. So, we are waiting for the vet to open at 8. *grumble*
Our Papooso has suffered urinary tract blockages for years and the only food that finally worked was Royal Canin Urinary SO (through the vet). It's a miracle food (for him). Unfortunately, he hated the dry version and wouldn't eat it so we could only give him the canned stuff. For some reason, he hasn't eaten the stuff in months (probably because it tastes like shit), but he hasn't had any problems in over a year. You just reminded me that I need to call the vet to ask him if his problem could just stop.
Poor you. I know how expensive it is and for all three of your babies to be suffering in the past few weeks is terrible.
What's up with the pets lately? We've never had trouble with Ryan now he's on kitty morphine and antibiotics. I'm just waiting for one of the dogs to get sick.
Well, Loki wasn't too bad. His bladder wasn't even full enough that they could draw a sample. So they pumped him with fluids, saying that minor urinary issues can relieve themselves within a few days if lots of liquids are ingested and flushed out. So, we isolated him all day with a litterbox. He managed to pee a lot. Yay, kitten!
Apparently these UT issues in cats are often "idiopathic," which means they don't know what causes them. There is an unsubstantiated theory out there that a virus can cause them. That would explain why both boys had the problem within weeks of eachother.
We have them on the Prescription Diet (vet stuff) in the c/d formula. That SHOULD be the miracle food like Nookie has. I think they are very similar foods. Worth the cost if they can prevent recurrences.
So, we missed most of the tailgating, but made the Badger game. It was lots of fun. The Citadel was better than we gave them credit for, and our defense sucked donkeys the first half of the game, but we got a win. It was also fun to watch the student section.
T-kit-I didn't know Ryan was sick. So sorry. I suppose the new house probably caused the kitty some stess, too. Cats have such delicate little systems.

I'm glad that all worked out and that your team won. YAY
I'm so sorry you missed some of the fun, but happy you made it. Hopefully the cats are done being sick for a long while!
Go Pack Go!!!!
*grin*
Glad your kitty is feeling better. *smooch*
MTW-Chris loved your comment about the cat gods. :-)
And yay! The Packers had an awesome game yesterday. *Polkas with Breezy*
Glad to hear that got resolved easily!
*pout* Badger game wasn't on TV here, so we couldn't DVR it and watch later, as we were at a picnic. Glad you had fun, and it sounded like a rout!
