Sharp cheddar and apples today.
Ok, so Chris wants to get the carpets professionally cleaned. I am saying we should just rent a Rug Doctor and I'll do it. WTF? Why am I fighting him on this? I should have my wife card taken away. He says we can't get a bedroom set until we get the carpets cleaned. Yeesh. Who is this man?
I laughed at your suggestions that he might want a John Deere bed. :-) I bet they make one.
I bought some new clothes last night. I went to the mall. I hate the mall. Pennys sucked because there were so many screaming kids, the dressing rooms have started to disappear (being taken over as storage space) and the clothes were not as cute as in the spring/summer lines. And I think I saw all the dresses Puffy posted about! I went to a few other stores and picked up some outfits. I'll be returning about 1/4 of my purchases, despite trying everything on. I decided I refused to keep anything that I didn't love (fit or style-wise). Oh, and salespeople lie. I bought a shirt that I liked in theory, but wasn't convinced it fit right. It's a style I've never worn, so I took her word for it. The colors were adorable and it was a "fun" shirt. I tried it on again at home. WTF...I should not wear puffy sleeves. In fact, I'm not sure anyone should wear puffy sleeves after the age of 8.
I'm still in search of a suit and dress and some killer shoes. I'm going to hit Anne Taylor and Macy's for those.

You didn't even read my post. You just wanted to smack me.
I read you damn post. But yes, I wanted to smack you.
But here, to prove that I read your post...I want a car bed and Michelle won't let me have one.
JCPenney does suck because it is usually unorganized. But I find great deals there.
And SMACK
*grin*
Penneys is good for Marisa's clothes. They are very trendy, and have a Girls Plus department, where they have 1/2 sizes. She actually went down a size, now that she is growing taller.
You didn't buy any bras?
Well, I just did the rug doctor thing a few weeks ago. I think it was pretty much worthless and didn't clean my carpets as well as I had hoped. It was also a LOT of work, and the rug doctor machine itself was a PITA. My Hoover steam cleaner was just as effective IMO, and I used both of them.
We had some major problems with the high traffic areas and they definitely didn't come as clean as I would have hoped.
I noticed Marisa is looking thinner from pics you'd previously shared.
I do like that JCPenny has the same clothes in regular, petite and plus sizes for some stuff (the a.n.a. collection appears good for that). Equitable style tis good. In dress clothes I tend to need plus sizes, but in casual I can wear misses sizes.
Bravie, do those beds come in Queen or King size?
*smack*
No, which is why Michelle won't let me get one.
We bought a carpet cleaner when we bought our first house here. I love vacuuming/cleaning carpets.
When we were selling our house, we decided to spend the money and have professionals come in to clean the carpets because some areas were dirty from the cats. Well, they didn't get any of the stains out AND they snagged a seam in the middle of the carpet in the dining room. I was sooooooooooo upset. They just ruined the carpet and couldn't really do much about it.
Invest in a carpet cleaner. I think they are worth it.
According to Michelle, you should not steam clean your carpet more than once a year. It wears down the fibers of the carpet.
that is all.
*smacks Kim*
For the love of cheese, let someone else do it. You have more important things to do like drink from my fancy glasses.
*giggle* For the love of cheese. *giggles again* I like that.
I've heard similar warnings about steam cleaning too much, bravie. I have heard it can also destroy your carpet pad.
Does anyone have experience with a national company like Stanley Steemer? I see they also do grout. But I wouldn't have them clean our grout, as we only have it in our shower and my Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and Clorox Bleach pen work fine there.
Kim, if you want to wait until next weekend, you can ask Michelle in person. I mean, Carpet and padding is her business. :)
I think I'll tell my coworkers that I'm going out early to visit the lesbian carpet expert. Maybe they'll have carpet questions, too.
This reminds me, I have a post about hyphens.
Me? I'm just happy someone else in Blogland doesn't have a proper bed.
I used Stanley Steemer. I thought they did a good job. Plus I got a deal. The only thing I didn't like was having to talk to them. I know it's boggling that I wouldn't want to talk, right?
And I ended up getting talked into the protection plan that I didn't need. I have a problem saying no.
I have cleaned my own carpets for years. I would go the Stanley route any day of the week rather than do it myself ever ever again.
Boo has trouble saying no?
Hey Boo, wanna make out?
Stanley Steemer are the ones that damaged my carpets.
I guess it's hit and miss.
Girl. WTF are you thinking? Chris gives you money, offers to buy a bedroom set AND have the house professionally carpet cleaned and you argue? You REALLY, REALLY need to sit down and be quiet. Next thing you know, he'll offer a maid service and you'll argue.
What is Chris' email addy? I need to talk to him.
And yes, that last post was written out of love for the Cheesehead. Sometimes, you just have to provide a bit of tough love.
*giggle*
I still need Chris' email addy. *shakes head*
I know, I think I need therapy to let go of my home control issues.
Sending you his email....
*suckasmack*
I love cheddar and apples. You at least need a headboard with posts. I would think the footboard would be optional. Jason would stub his toes.
*smackity smack*
Let It Go. It doesn't matter if it's not perfect.
Oh and about that John Deere bed? They do make comforters, sheets, pillow cases, rugs, and curtains.
Do NOT ask how I know this. Otherwise, Chris may want to move in with Larry.
We're having our grout cleaned on Monday.
