Chevrelait today...it's a smoked goat's milk cheese.
I watching The Next Food Network Star this weekend & one of the shows focused on your "Culinary Point of View." As they put it, there is a big map of cooking, where are you on it? For example, Rachel Ray doesn't want to spend more than 30 minutes preparing a meal, Bobby Flay is all about bold flavors, Sandra Lee is all about spending less time and money creating foods by finding 70% prepackaged ingredients, Giada is all about bringing the Italian food she grew up with everyday into your kitchens, etc.
So what is your Culinary Point of View?

Fast, easy, and reasonably healthy. That is my main goal most days and most meals. I just don't have the time to go into large culinary efforts.
*smooch*
Right now I all I want to eat is sorbet. I could eat just that all day.
I guess I am on the Mr. Softee map.
Normally I like spicy, healthy cuisine.
Now I'm hungry. I want a cinnamon muffin.
I like Paula. Southern home cooking. Everything is greasy and fried with lots of butter. Yum-yum fattening. LOL!
I am all about bold flavors, asian influence and fresh vegetables. I will not eat frozen or canned veggies of any kind.
My favorite meals are chicken curry with rice and stir-fry cashew chicken with asparagus as one of the veggies.
Anything that makes dishes that go in the dishwasher, really.
I have a vision of Bob bringing home McDonalds food & putting it on a plate & eating it with a fork...just to make dishes.
Sandra Lee's point of view doesn't count since she's not a real cook. Or a real human being, for that matter. She is a cyborg.
I love cooking, as long as its decent for me and doesn't take too much time.
I'm on the fishy side LOL.
It's all about shrimp and fish in my house due to DH being a vegetarian. Stir-fries, pasta and curries.
I don't like spending a lot of time cooking a meal but sometimes it works out that way.
I didn't realize Sandra was a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu. I also thought she was a cyborg.
I will not use prepackaged ingredients, apart from the occasional curry paste. Other than that, it has to be flavourful and have lots of veggies. Time is not exactly an issue right now.
I just wanted to say that Kim is my favorite. *big grin*
My point of view is: If it tastes good, I eat it! ...and it tastes even better when I don't have to cook it! *grin*
Oh waiter...
*enjoys "favorite" status while it lasts*
And I never put my cpv in here. Hmmmm...I would say bold & spicy. I really want to visit a Bobby Flay restaurant because his food appeals to me sooooooo much.
My culinary point of view has changed recently. I am mostly like Sandra Lee. I try to make interesting, tasty meals, but with prepackaged shortcuts wherever possible.
For examply, I use canned spaghetti sauce, but add fresh veggies and ground beef and wine to make something really yummy.
I rarely cook by the recipe exactly. I always try to add my own little touch to everything I cook.
But you aren't a cyborg, right?
I prefer to make healthy meals from scratch. I love spicy foods, but since I'm the only one in the house who does, I just keep a bottle of Scotch Bonnet pepper sauce to perk up my food. I mostly marinade meat and then grill, roast or bake it.
I admit to buying French-cut frozen green beans, because we really like them. In the summer, we have beans from the garden.
Meat and Potatoes.
