Seattle

Brie with a cranberry bourbon compote.

I really want to visit Seattle in 2007 and the peep meet is the only way I think it will happen. However, Seattle is trailing Chicago by 3 votes now. poo.

So if you also want to go to Seattle, go vote!

Chicago would be reasonably priced for us. We'd probably just stay in Kenosha (WI) Friday night with a friend and take the train to meet peeps for dinner or drinks. Then we'd come back on Saturday to go to IKEA and hang at the lakefront. We'd probably get a room so we could stay up late with peeps that night. I just really don't like Chicago that much, but I'd absolutely go. It would just be a bonus to be in a city I WANT to go to, even if it did cost more.

Probably the only way I would do it would be if it were in Chicago. Even then, I don't know that I would go. But that would probably be my only choice.

What's wrong with Chicago? Well, you can't aget a nice hotel room for less than $300, but apart from that? The lakeshore area is terrific!

I guess I just don't like the drive down there and the city itself because a) there's always so much ugly, stress inducing construction and traffic; b) the cost of staying there; c) Everything is fairly spread out and public transportation isn't that nice and clean.

I do like the lakeshore, though. That's why it's one of two things on my "to do" list. :-)

I haven't voted yet because a)I probably wouldn't even be able to go, and b) I can't make up my mind about which city I want to go to. I would love to visit Seattle (seeing as how for the past few months I've been thinking I might want to live there. heh.) but Chicago would be so much cheaper, flight wise. But you're saying the hotels would be really expensive there?
Ah well. I'll just go and vote for Seattle, because you want me to. :)

I think with this much time to plan, we can all scout out airfare deals. We were thinking of taking the train if we go to Seattle, but it's not THAT much cheaper and you have to pay for expensive train meals the whole trip out & back. So really, you don't save much money.

Chris really wants to show me Seattle, as it's a place he went in college and loved.

I haven't voted yet either but Chicago is my only doable option. Plus our nephew lives there.

Sorry about Seattle.

Well at least some of you want my #2 option! :-)

I can afford Chicago, if it's Seattle I'd have to see my sis. *shiver*
