I think I need to take Breezy's credo into action and just shut up for awhile. I've been digging some holes online in the last few weeks. It was honestly more fun keeping my mouth shut over the years.
In all seriousness, my judgment appears to be failing me, as I should've kept my mouth shut about the Peep Meet and just counted votes. I also shouldn't have said anything about that stupid parking thread. It's just easier to stay out of things and keep any thoughts to myself. Nobody else then feels wronged and I don't doubt my own actions and feelings.
I'm not saying any of this with spite, I truly mean that I'm doing some soul searching and am trying to recenter my judgment about where I want to be in our online community and how my actions can support that.
So have a good holiday! I'll be thinking of you! And I'll still be checking in with my fellow bloggest losers, so I won't disappear completely.

I'm a little lost on what's happening.
However, I do know that there are some really shitty people out there. People who try to suck the joy out of everything. People who are bitter and always looking for an argument.
And, I definitely learned how shitty some people can be when I was organizing the banana tours and organizing one of the gift exchanges.
You try to do a good thing but you can't always please everyone.
And yes, when you start posting your opinions online, there are bound to be some people who don't agree with you. Some of those people may be friends.
It's extremely difficult for me to hold myself back from posting on a couple of those nasty threads at the other place. I just keep turning the computer off and walking away.
Now, I'm ready to open up a can of whoop-ass for whomever has made my Kim upset. Let me at them.

Weltek, sweetpea, please don't fret over a thing- not even for a second. If people are really upset over the location of the peep meet they are always free to organize a peep meet in Chicago or elsewhere as an alternataive for those who cannot make the x-country trek.
I just want to tell you, I appreciated everything you wrote in the parking thread. My general rule? If in my head, I start having "imaginary posting wars" with people then I know I need to back away from the computer screen.
