My new toy

Pepper jack, cheddar, Chihuahua and Asadero quesedillas today with all the toppings & fillings you want.

I received my MP3 players last night. It's a Sandisk Sansa M240 & so far, I like it. I did have to convert old music I downloaded from cds from wma files to MP3 files (since MP3 files are smaller). Other than that, it was easy to use. I loved it for working out. I have yet to figure out the playlist feature.

I meant to tell you about the fun, easy dinner I made Monday night. I marinated chunks of chicken, mushroom and shrimp (would've done green pepper and onion if I had any) for about 30 minutes in a teriyaki sauce & apricot jam mixture. Threaded them on skewers and grilled. I then made a soy & wasabi dipping sauce and put them in individual bowls for each of us. I threw the cooked items into one big bowl that we shared. It was just a fun way to have dinner. Would've been better with more sauces and more grilled veggies. I thought it would be a fun way to eat for kids. Not that I have any.

Lost is on tomorrow. Yaaaaay!

I've never heard of Chihuahua cheese either, but I respect weltek's cheese knowledge.

That sound like a cool meal. Isn't there a Japanese food prep style called Teppenyaki or something where you get a bunch of sauces and dip grilled stuff in it? Kind of like fondu, without having to wait for 5 minutes in between every bite.

Yep, seana. They typically use hibachi style grills to do the t...word (I sure as heck can't spell it).

I blame Nookie for all of this.

Aw, the tiny dog my dad talked to was a Chichuahua, a long haired version. Her name was 'Taffy'. I would never eat a Chichuahua.

I wish I was that creative in the kitchen!

Chichuahua is a state in Mexico so I assume Chichuahua cheese is some kind of Mexican cheese.

Kim, mushrooms are evil and I will pick them out of all foods no matter how small they are chopped!

I have no comment on the MP3 player because I probably wouldn't even know one if I saw it.

The grilled stuff sounds good even without the dipping sauce! Grilled veggies are wonderful--especially onions & zucchini. I'll bet the meat browned up quick with the jam in the marinade. In my hands the whole grill would have gone up in flames!

See, swami knows!

I like using sweet marinades on skewered foods because of their short cooking time. It can brown the food without burning it.

Would someone please remind me tomorrow that Lost is on? I can't seem to find my head or my ass, so I doubt seriously I'll remember that it's Wednesday and Lost is on.

Thank you.
