Igloo living

*shovels path into blog*

I really hate winter. Really, really hate it. I think we are at around 40" total this year. That's over a foot above last year at this time...and last year was a record setting year. Windchills are miserable. We've had to reinforce one of our garage doors. Never again will we build in WI with the garage doors facing the west. We are buying a big snow thrower for the lawn mower. We just can't keep trying to move this much snow with our blade.

Our flights were all cancelled on Friday, so we spent the day with airline personnel, then hopping around flights, with almost no chance of getting to Madison. Even though the waiting list from MSP to MSN on the last flight of the day was 34 people long, we still managed to get on. There were THAT many missed connections. I wandered into the house around 2 a.m. Yuck!

I'm done with my first set of master's classes. 4.00 semester-yay! I cleaned house in celebration. :-)

Oh, and on a fun note-I love all the Christmas cards I've been getting from peeps! Thank you!

That one foot is one foot more than our total snow accumulation for like the past five years. The only reason I would like to have snow is for Conner.

Weren't you in Texas recently? I saw on Today where they have a karaoke thing going in one of the Texas airports.

Great job on the 4.0. Dork!

We have not received near as many cards this year as last year. I suspect this will be a busy week. I'm going to be working on some different cards here at home this week. I need to really catch up on birthday cards.

I haven't received as many cards, either. Of course I'm not sending mine out until next week, so maybe that's what everyone else is doing.

I'm glad there was no karaoke in my airports. We went through Shreveport, Memphis and Minn/St. Paul. I may have killed someone.

I'm with you, Kim. This winter has been especially sucky. We haven't gotten a lot of snow, but it has snowed a lot. You know what I mean? We haven't had much accumulation, but it seems like it has snowed almost every day for the past month. Since we moved our office out into the sticks, it has been really shitty driving, too. I hate it!

I figured you would have a hard time Friday flying home. It's awful here.

If the job doesn't work out, Carey, I swear we are still going to look at moving elsewhere. F-ck the Midwest.

It rarely snows here. That's all I'm saying.

What else is here? Let's see: mountains to the left, beaches to the right. Sun. Warm weather. Redskins. Boo. Twang. Boo. Amusement parks. Boo. Lots of medical schools like UVA, MCV/VCU, Duke. Boo.

Blogger keeps eating my post. You had me until "twang," Boo. :-)

I've moved VA & NC up on my list recently. NC is where I wanted to go to college until I decided I couldn't afford to go far away.

I had some dude ask me recently where I was from. I can't help the twang. Some twang is sincere and sweet.

And I would settle for you in NC.

In my mind, you're gone to Carolina. Can't you see the sunshine. Can't you just feel the moonshine.

I am sooooooo with you, Kim! Just let me know where we're moving to and I'll start packing.

My Dad has a snowblower attachment on his tractor and Dave said he doesn't want anything else in their will other than the tractor/snowblower. *grin*

Congrats on the 4.0!

Merry Christmas Kim...Chris too! *stands under mistletoe waiting for Christmas smoooches*
