Boring post ahead.
The slavery to my yard has begun. June never feels like too much work. When July sets in, it feels like I'm constantly watering. Our two tractor sprinklers (that move along the hose) broke, so now we have to move things a lot more.
My vegetables are ok...tomato plants are doing awesome. Peppers? Not so much. The rabbits have been nibbling (despite various things to rid them), and the floods made them a little yellow from overwatering. Of course now it's dry as a bone again. Sigh.
My front flower beds need some TLC. First, I have to plant some earlier flowering things in my perennial bed. Most stuff doesn't bloom til July, so it's been bland for the last few months. Second, I need to plant a few annuals in my window bed. It's rather stark right now with only a few perennials.
My back flower beds are great. I need to thin stuff out this fall, as it's all getting overgrown. I'm happy when that occurs.

Tomatoes are my favorite. If my cats wouldn't terrorize everything that was in a planter, I might try to grow some.
Planters=cat beds and litter boxes.
Just begun? Where have you been. I've been busting my butt in my yard. *grin*
I enjoy the butt-busting in May & June. By July, it's not-so-fun.
That top picture is gorgeous.
I've been having to water on and off, mostly off. Except for the strawberry pots, being in a container they dry out a lot quicker.
It's the mowing that's kicking my butt. Ugh.
These are both very pretty flowers. What is that first one?
I had to do a little weeding on Sunday. I need to go and get some more petunias because I didn't pinch off the dead ones, and they are all ruined. So I pulled them up.
My Shasta Daisies have gone completely crazy. I think I need to move them because they are just too big. And my Day Lillies are just brilliant. I went with the red ones that have splashes of yellow inside. My slave-to-his-yard neighbor was a wee bit jealous I think because I really don't do much.
Oooh, Boo-lilies are my fave. Please take a pic of yours! And the top pic is a pansy.
I have my daisies in an area where they can spread. My dad tipped me off on that one. Go figure.
Friday I'm going to plant a few annuals in the front bed. Party isn't til Saturday at BIL's so I have Friday freeeee!
You said, "I need to thin stuff out this fall." LOL I need to thin ME out this fall!
Your flowers are beautiful. I love the colors on the pansy. I wish we had tomatoes because I'm afraid to buy them at the market.
My mother-in-law bought tomatoes, thinking they were plums, so she gave them to us. They were big red rounds ones from Mexico, the kind we're told to avoid. I was sorry to toss them out.
