I think subbing for Boo yesterday on OT has made me feel a little Boo-ish. I have an 11:30 training across town, and no real reason to be in my office, so I'm working from Panera. Free refills on coffee. And I'm being good and got a whole grain bagel with a smidgen of light cream cheese for a snack a few minutes ago. The "fresh cracked eggs, applewood smoked bacon and vermont sharp cheddar" sandwich sounded better, but I'm seriously stressing about weight, so I avoided it (I was down 2 lbs this morning. Whew!).
We tested mattresses last night. We LOVED the spring-free mattress and the Tempurpedic wins for not transfering motion. However, we might wait until next year to buy it. Why? Chris really, really wants a new toy and now it's in the form of a little convertible. He's going to look at it today, and we might test drive it tonight. Three cars for two people. Sigh. It would replace the plane and motorcycle items on his wish list. I have to admit, it's the safer of the three, waaay more practical and uber cute. I'd tell you the kind, but I don't recall. A Toyota and some combination of letters and numbers. Guy is selling it for less than Blue Book and throwing in winter tires (not that we need those, though).
BIL called from a happy hour last night. A 3/4" thick slice of bacon was one of the happy hour appetizer specials. I like bacon, but that makes me barf. Of course, he was eating it.
Stay tuned tomorrow for some pics from my youth. I scanned some old photos and they make me laugh.

A convertible? *giggle* He's a little young to be going through his mid-life crisis.
LOL-exactly my thoughts. He said this morning he feels very adult by choosing the more useful 'toy.' I think he just called himself old. :-) I should buy him a toupe for his new toy, if he gets it.
I will be interested in what mattress you eventually choose. I hate our mattress, and the problem is that Mr. Fro's parents bought it for us when we got married, so he feels bad about wanting to get rid of it.
It was annoying, because we chose a mattress, and then the store closed and disappeared without a trace between their buying it and when it was supposed to be delivered. Mr. Fro's parents were so angry (understandably so.) Since we wanted to just get it over with, we went to a different mattress store and picked a different mattress that I knew I didn't like at the time, but I figured I could live with it. Not so. I really don't like it and I wake up with a stiff neck or back all.the.time. Plus, it transfers movement. I think it amplifies movement. Mr. Fro moves a lot at night and it drives me nuts.
That 3/4" inch slice of bacon made me hungry.
I liked the latex mattresses for comfort best, but they still transferred movement. I'm such a light sleeper and Chris and the cats annoy me. Not to mention I have a theory that the Tempur material won't resonate his snoring so much. Right now I can actually FEEL his snoring on our bed.
I think the Tempurpedic beds are a love/hate thing and it's totally personal preferece. I was prepared to hate them or like them. After laying on spring, and spring-less sets, it was clear to both of us that we liked springless better.
No matter what kind of new mattress I get, it can't be Spring free. *rim shot*
Thankyou thankyou, I'll be here all night. Be sure to tip your waitresses.
A RAV4? Those are such cute little cars - I want one too! In red, of course.
I don't like Panera. They don't have anything spicey.
If you don't want motion transfer then you need a king sized bed. Because the foundation is split between 2 box springs there is very little transfer of motion to the mattress. When we travel and wind up sleeping on a Queen because there are no Kings available I feel like I'm sleeping on a trampoline!
Three quarter inch thick bacon just sounds strange.
*rolls eyes at the midget* She is such a dork. LOL
Bacon? did you say bacon? Bacon is the most heavenyl food on earth. Ever. forever. I would eat a 3/4" thick piece of bacon, anytime.
I had a convertible for 10 years and loved it! We got rid of it 2 years ago.
At first glance, I thought that Swami said she felt like she was sleeping in a tampon. Now that's a small bed!
