A companion to MMs Mom post

I think I might get banned from my first message board! There are some wackjobs at this certain INXS fan board. I have only posted a few times on it, but go there sometimes to look for gossip.

I mentioned on MMs site about the blondebimbo at the INXS concert. Well, she posted on the board about how her kids were great because the band members thought they were cute and gave them souveniers (guitar pick and drumstick). Well that was the tip of the iceberg! One mom took her kids to the airport and waited for the band to walk through and made the band members in sight pose for pics with her kids (none of her and the band). The other...this is great...made her young (10?) daughter hold up a sign that said "JD, Taste My Mom" (as in the song "Taste It," which is very sexual and JD has performed some naughty naughty moves on stage during the song).

So I finally said how that was all a little weird and seemed to be rather irresponsible parenting.

Just waiting to get my notice....

Ohhhh, how fun. You're such a rebel. *grin*

Wow. I don't blame you. Having your 1o year old hold up a sign like that is disturbed.

Hey, I'm going to the Bread Store for lunch today. I wonder what they have? I've never been there.

I'll report back later.

OOooooh, bring me something! I've never been, either. We don't have those here.

Did you mention that mcblondiebitchmom was in front of you at the concert and you thought it was very bad of her to have the kids up there after the fight?

Hey! I've been to the Bread Store! Good place. I think they sell bread there.

Kim, be proud of yourself. I bet you're not the only one who's been thinking it about that woman. Also, (and this is not directed at INXS, but rather ALL bands) I would love just once to see the actual band with offensive, un-kid friendly material call the parents who've brought kids to the concerts, out. I know, it's unrealistic, but I'd be a fan for life if it ever happened.

I remember when Gwen Stefani came to town and some friends took their kids and when Gwen came out, she made (asked) the audience to chant with her "Girls fucking rock" or something like that. Does she not know how popular she is with young girls? *sigh*

Is Boo posting as MM these days, or has MM developed something of a potty mouth??? ;-)

Wow, the Bread Store *DID* have bread! They also had soup and sandwiches. I had a cup of chicken tortilla soup and half a pastrami sandwich. Both were unremarkable. But the rye bread the sandwich was on was excellent, as was the sourdough it was served with. And I bought a loaf of gorgonzola-walnut bread to take home.

Breezy-I left her specific name out, but left some words about that being bad parenting (without naming that specific instanc). I'd say maybe she'd catch the hint it pertained to her, but I highly doubt she will.

MM-I also thought I can't be the only one thinking this. Maybe someone will speak out in support of my statement. And your Gwen Steffani example is perfect. I think Gwen has an identity crisis and can't decide if she wants 12 or 20 year old fans.

MTW-Gorgonzola walnut bread? Hm. Not sure how I feel about that, although kudos on getting a cheesey bread. :-)

MTW, I was quoting so it doesn't count. :P

Hm, I can't seem to log in today. :-) Unfortunately someone sent me a pm titled "oooked out by pimping out," but I can't read it because my account appears to be inactivated. :-(

You are just a trouble-maker Kim, expecting people to act mature just because they have kids! What fun is that?

I have never heard of the Bread Store but I did just buy a loaf of wonderful cranberry/raisin/walnut bread from a local bakery. So good - totally loaded with goodies! Oh, that reminds me - I haven't had breakfast yet. *Off to make some toast with the above bread*

Your account has been shut down because of that? Sheesh.
(If you have a minute, I'm waiting on that picture from you. *smooch*)

Ha-turns out the board was having tech problems and I wasn't shut out. I got a very nice message from another poster saying many feel the same way and have pm'd about it before.

Deb-right, picture!

Kim, Kim, Kimeney I sent you some shots.

Also, Deb, I sent you a couple too.

Good on ya Kim for stepping up and speaking for those who do not have the balls to do so.

You rock.
