String cheese today. Low fat available for dieters.
Not me...I don't need new workout wear. Chris does.
Close your eyes and picture last night's outfit:
1. Bright yellow t-shirt that he uses for working around the house.
2. Dark green sweatpants, usually used for loungewear
3. Slip on brown shoes from Land's End...usually used for working in the garage, etc.
The silly boy has not "worked out" in ages. His tennis shoes are Nikes circa 1995. They aren't horribly worn. For some reason, he chose to forgo the shoes. I frankly think he needs new ones. He does't own a pair of athletic pants or shorts. Whenever we hike or ride bikes, he's always worn denim shorts and tshirts with hiking boots.
Sigh. He'll surely hate that I posted this. However, it's for his own good. He needs some prompting to wear appropriate workout wear. I'm going to buy him at least some athletic pants tonight.

I absolutely love Tom's super-tight black bicycle shorts. He looks so freaking hot in them! They are great for biking, but for other workouts he wears cut-off grey sweats and a loose t-shirt. He has a pair of those exercise pants that velcro on (or whatever) so you don't have to take your shoes off while changing, but he rarely wears those.
The man is in despirate need of footwear! Get him some good shoes!!! He doesn't even need to wear pants while exercising, but he needs proper shoes.
I agree with Swami about the shoes. He absolutely needs proper shoes and they should always be worn while working out, if for nothing more than saftey and balance.
Oh and in my neck of the woods, we call them sneakers. :)
But sneakers are for sneaking. Do you do a lot of sneaking?
I knew someone was going to say that. :) In my younger single days, I did quite a bit of sneaking. Not so much anymore.
We call them tennis shoes but I haven't played tennis in years. Perhaps I'd do better on my weight loss if I did play tennis again.

*doesn't understand the problem*
*moves on*
I call them tennis shoes. I actually have a pair of shoes that I only use for tennis. They stay in my tennis bag, then go right back in when I'm done playing. Then, I put on my other tennis shoes that are for everything but tennis.
Puffy, tennis will keep you young and fit looking. You should start playing again!
I'm with MTW, I work out in my lounge pants. Is that so wrong?
He does need new tennies though.
The pants I don't have a huge problem with...however they are his ONLY workout proper pants. And I'm not doing laundry that often. He wants to wear his flannel jammie pants. I pointed out that flannel is not the most appropriate workout wear.
Get him those see through fish net tops.
Those are super cool!
LMAO I quite often wear my flannel jammie pants to work out in. *grin*
Isn't it HOT?
Not really, and I just sweat out that much more weight that way.
I'm going to sympathize with Chris on this one. I showed up for my first volleyball night in 10 year old court shoes and slid all over the gym. Tonight I'm wearing my regular "running shoes". I'd go out and buy new court shoes but I'm not sure how long this volleyball night is going to last.
*imagines Tom in his super-tight bike shorts* I think I'm having a hot flash!
Is he out in public when he's working out? Then yes, maybe something new is appropriate. I personally do all my working out in the basement. I wear a pair of red shorts made of sweatshirt material and my ratty old sports bra. And bare feet.
Even still, if his only runners are over 10 years old, he needs new ones.
