It was one of those days yesterday when I held it together until 4:30, then left in tears. People just get so darn defensive and can't take feedback. I recorded meeting minutes a little too accurately from a meeting and got screeched at by the people some "frustrations" were (not in name) directed at (it was about our school website and people having difficulty getting their voice heard about needed changes...those were words I used). The communications group screeched when they saw the minutes(they are the people that aren't listening, but I worded it to be a "school" issue, so it wouldn't directly implicate anyone). Did I mention this is a completely voluntary committee that isn't required for me to participate in? If push comes to shove, I'll happily resign! However, I'm just enough stubborn on principle, I'm not backing down that easily.
I revised my minutes with the blessing of the rest of the committee and resent them with an apology for an inaccuracies or inappropriate wording. Sigh. I hope the day improves.

That sucks! I have been guilty of making Minutes too detailed as well. But I have also seen Minutes from colleagues that gave me no clue of what happened in the meeting.
Today is Friday. That automatically makes it better than yesterday.
Kill the messenger is a time-honored way to resolve hearing something you don't want to hear. I hope your apology was not too abject!
I love detailed minutes! But I prefer not to take minutes at a meeting because I get so involved in minute taking that I am not able to participate in discussions.
Are you available to take minutes for my POA meeting next month?
Thin skinned idjuts.
Agree with Boo that Friday is always better than Thursday and as tomorrow is Saturday it will be even better!
But I have to go home to a sick husband (dealing with horrid rotator cuff pain) and a visiting MIL, so that cancels any Friday fun.
Sounds like work might be a vacation for you right about now. *grin*
