1) I am making Buffalo Chicken Lasagne for dinner tonight. *waves at tummy*
2) MIL is coming this weekend. We are going to a show at APT, but in the new indoor theatre. Thank cod, because it's going to be cold. I'm also having her help me make Tummy's OTCC food. She lived in Germany for a year, so maybe she'll bring some expertise. Chris is doubtful about that.
3) I bought boots and a sweater at Kohl's last night. I hate buying shoes because they never have my size in the ones I want. I ended up buying a larger size in a shoe that ran small.
4) I had spanikopita for dinner at a greek restaurant last night. I realized when I went to order, that I didn't really know how to pronouce it. I've had it many times before, but it's always been part of a cocktail party offering, so I didn't have to say it.
5) Chili cookoff is Saturday. We decided to not take it very seriously and are making "chili dog chili." It will be a basic beefy chili with hot dogs slices cooked in, topped with cheese and onion. It will at least be entertaining.

1. Does Ranch or Blue Cheese factor into this?
2. LOL. I am making that this weekend as well. I hope you enjoy your visit.
3. I have trouble with sizes as well. I need a new pair of black boots. The ones I bought last year are too high. Hopefully I can find some for less than $100.
4. I love spanikopita. Absolutely love it. I bought some for Christmas dinner last year and introduced much of Michael's family to it. They did not all have the same appreciation, which meant more for me.
5. If Chris would like to make his regular chili and ship it to me, I will give him a blue ribbon.
1. Yum - I love the Buffalo Chicken Lasagne. I need to make that again, soon.
2. Maybe she'll bring you a spaetzle maker-thingamajig!
3. I need a new pair of boots- or as I originally typed it "a new bair of poots - I think my heel is about gone on my favorites.
4. Yum again.
5. We're having a chili cook-off on the 26th. You'll have to slip me the winning recipe. :)
I was bad and forgot to buy the blue cheese, Boo. So, I am getting some tonight and sprinkling it on to get gooey on top prior to serving.
*gives new bair of poots to Tummy*
1. I hate buffalo chicken wings so I am guessing I would hate this.
2. Have fun. Tummy's OTCC food is bound to be better than buffalo chicken lasagna.
3. I had a 30% off coupon for Kohl's last week - and I still didn't go. They don't have shoes for my clown feet.
4. Spanikopita is the food of the gods. I love it!
5. You're making my MIL's Special Hot Dog Chili!?! *laughs* *laughs some more* Only she doesn't use onions because they give her gas.
Your mother-in-law seriously makes hot dog chili? *snort*
*eats all the buffalo wings I was going to share with Swami*
Yes. Sliced hot dogs and a few canned beans in a tasteless, spiceless tomato sauce. Sometimes, just to be extra fancy, she puts in some elbow macaroni.
I love buffalo chicken anything. Yum!
OTCC? I'm missing something.
*googles spanikopita*
It's chili weather here. Cool and windy. I could use a big bowl of yummy chili right now.
*waves at Augie!*
Tummy has started an OT cooking club. Every two weeks we get a new recipe to play with and review. It's like the book club, only tastier.
The Buffalo Chicken Lasagne was a disappointment. For some reason, it tasted salty (I didn't add any extra salt) and was super mushy. I might try a version without crock-potting it another time, as the concept is great.
Crud on the lasagne. Did you vent the top? did it say to vent the top? I can't remember. Mine turned out great - it was the first time I'd tried anything with pasta and I was super surprised at how well it did.
I didn't vent the top. If it said to, I didn't read it carefully (not a surprise). Maybe that would've helped the texture thing.
