I'm forcing myself to update because if I ever look back on this, I'll wonder why I've been so lax.
1) School is kicking my aras schedule wise. The end of this month is crunch time, then it will ease off. I've so far aced all my assignments. This next essay I'm not so confident about. We just read Teacher Man by Frank McCourt. Great book that was on my "to read" list, anyway.
2) Work travel is eating up my life. I have about three weeks back here, but I'm busy making plans for the next two trips in Nov. to Powers, MI and Longview, TX. You may have heard me complain elsewhere that it snowed last week for our three days in Billings. I had a nasty fall at the airport in which I strained my ankle (pulled a muscle a tiny bit and lots of external bruising, but it's healing), dunked my laptop case in about 8" of water (no computer damage, lots of book and paper damage), and had to change my undies even at the airport (they were wet from the sno/water, not from poop *snort*).
3) I drove my first keyless ignition car *waves at the absent Nookie* It was weird, but I liked it.
4) I don't want to get old.

Kim pooped her pants!!!! Kim pooped her pants. That's because you are old. Hah!!!
Whatevah. Still younger than most of you.
And Breezy, I think your finger is probably stuck there by now.
1. Good for you, acing all your assignments! Frank McCourt is a tres good writer dude.
2. I am lmho at your fall scenario. Isn't sitting in ice-cold rainwater fun? And dunking your computer too really ratchets up the thrill factor! As you grow older you become more accustomed to these random, public fall events. I have a fine old, almost life-long tradition where once a year I slip on the ice and fall somewhere. When I am lucky it is in front of my own mailbox and no one sees. When I am unlucky it is in front of CUB, or while crossing a street in town and everyone sees.
3. I have never driven a keyless ignition car.
4. The Old is coming for you, Kim. Maybe not today - but one of these days. The Old is coming!!!
I hate all of you. *shakes cane*
I never fall. Does that mean I'm not old yet? *hopes*
I didn't laugh at your fall Kim. And I think anyone that would is e.v.i.l. *glares at swami*
And the Old may be comin' but that doesn't mean you have to answer the door.
MC is sucking up, beware!
Glad you had a clean change of underwear on you, that would have been really uncomfortable sitting in wet, cold underwear for your flight!
It still amazes me that I'm my mother's age. when the hell did that happen!
You know, for most of my life - whenever I travel by plane or train or bus or whatever - I have always kept a spare pair of panties in my purse or carry-on. Just in case. I began this tradition when I arrived for a 3-day layover in London with no money and lost luggage. I had to wash my panties in the hotel sink every night and they never quite dried (stupid, humid England.) Damp underpants are frightfully uncomfortable.
There is a simple solution to that, Swami. *grin*
That's a drag about the fall Kim...hope you're healing quickly. You're still young enough for that to happen. *wink*
I love my keyless ignition car. DH got one a few months ago and it took him a few weeks to stop reaching for the keys in his pocket as he approached his car.
