I'm still freakishly busy, but was able to spend a night away from homework, job-work and housework this week. Yay! We met up with friends and went to our local brewer's "office" for a party. It was very fun, but we stayed til 10:30 on a weeknight. That's too late for us!
I get my wisdom teeth pulled on Monday. Well, I'm still debating on getting one or both top ones pulled. I have supplemental dental that will cover it, but I have a $200 deductible. Grr. This means that I'll be out for a few days next week.
My 1 credit class will be over next week. My 4 credit is still ongoing, though. It's been 2 papers and reading a full book every week. It will be nice to go to one book and one paper each week.
Sephora sent me a $20 off a $50 purchase coupon. I did a little early Christmas shopping using it and got one thing for myself.
I went to LUSH the other day and got a few free items with my purchase: One Snowcake soap, one Afterlife moisturizer (being discontinued) and Potion lotion (which I also think is being discontinued). Yay for free things!
Now, I can go buy some new clothes with my JC Penny gift cards (we cashed in credit card points for the gift cards), and shopping will be done until the new year for myself.
We are cutting back on Christmas this year. Are you still doing the same thing, or cutting back this year?

Poor Kimmer. I'm sorry about the teeth. I hop you get good drugs. *grin*
If it's just one deductible, I would do it all now. Just get them out before they cause trouble later.
Yay for a school slowdown. This is probably the very reason I have not gone back.
I need new clothes, but I'm holding off.
We are cutting back. Conner already got his big birthday/Christmas present when we bought him the computer. And really, he won't have a clue that we're cutting back. Hoping Michael's niece hosts Christmas, that will help the cutback.
Ug, wisdom teeth. You know you'll look like a chipmunk, right?
I want pictures.
As for Christmas, we're looking to get the hell out of town. Don't want to go to Aruba, looked at Puerto Rico which looked like loads of fun but SIL is not that adventurous. Might have to compromise and head back to Cuba. *grump*
What happened to OT?
Good luck with the tooth extraction thing. I am so glad that my wisdom teeth never even tried to peek out.
I'd do them both at once, but then I'm all for getting stuff like that over & done with. In theory, anyways.
Christmas? What? *checks calendar* My grown kids are pretty needy, and of course The World's Cutest Grandson will not be stiffed by his Grammy. So I guess Christmas will be okay around here.
Actually, we're kind of cutting back on 'stuff' in general. Just not Christmas stuff.
Ack! Wisdom teeth suck. And I had 6 of them. All gone now but ended up with the dry sockets. Very painful. Good luck with it. I'll be thinking of you. I'd get two done at once if I were you. Get it over with.
We're cutting back a bit because my brother is having financial trouble so we're not doing the gift exchange with them now. That will save $150 minimum. Two $75 gifts. I'd be okay with no gifts but apparently that's not allowed in this family. *grin*
Oh, just get both teeth pulled at once.
Anyone want to convert? No Christmas presents for/from me.
I had all three of my wisdom pulled at the same time. (I only had three to begin with.) Go all at once. One visit, one recovery. It won't be that much of a difference in discomfort. If you do 1 and 1, then you look forward to #2 with dread.
You reminded me that I have a Sephora gift card that needs usin'.
I still can't stand the smell of anything LUSH. :(
I bought a pair of jeans last week and wore them every day this week. I like them a lot, and would have bought two but they only had one pair in my size and length. (I need pants in Long which I can rarely find.)
I am bored with all of my clothes and want to get rid of more than half of what's in my closet. Shoes, too.
I have a gift card for a salon. I offered to take my friend for manicures the day before her baby shower, next weekend.
I finally decided to start saving for this Christmas *last* Christmas, and have been socking away $25/week since last January. The account has earned $10 in interest (woo!) We host Christmas Eve dinner and have tons of birthdays in December (my mom, my brother, my niece and nephew, and Mr. Fro) so we're always scrambling around and feeling like we spend too much. This year at least we have the money set aside, even though it's all the same money, it FEELS like extra.
So, this year we're only buying gifts for the 6 kids, and doing a joint photo-book project for my in-laws. We'll probably do a photo book for my parents, too. Mr. Fro and I aren't exchanging gifts, except that he gets me a new charm for my charm bracelet every year, so he's still doing that. (He gave it to me our first Christmas, and each year the charm signifies something important from the past year.)
I don't really want anything. Usually there's some gadget or something that I have my eye on, but I'm pretty content this year. I just want to make sure the kids are happy and have a really fantastic meal. That would be a great Christmas.
I have a Christmas account too, like Fro. But I'm planning on cutting way back this year. Most gifts from me will be homemade.
I agree get them both pulled and only go through recovery once.
Too bad you can't wait until after the first of the year and then be done with your deductible early. I wanted to do that with this gallbladder thing but it's not going to let me.
We started drawing names for both sides of the family a few years ago. It works for us. Then I make the usual cinnamon candy for everyone else.
