It's almost lunchtime, so I'm serving some creamy mac & cheese.
Given the season, I'm seeing lots of flowers around. So let's talk flowers.
1. What kind of flowers are your favorite to give or receive?
2. What color rose is your favorite?
3. What is one of your favorite garden flowers?
4. Do you like carnations?
5. What is your stance on dandelions? Weed or pretty lawn decor?
6. Flowers at funerals. Waste of time or pretty tribute?
Not sure this is the most man friendly topic. Guess it depends on the man.

1. What kind of flowers are your favorite to give or receive?
Depends on who I'm sending to. I usually try to find out what the recipient's fave flower is or fave color. I always send purple daisies to my mom because that's her fave flower and color. For me to receive? Doesn't matter. I love all flowers. An arrangement of different flowers is always nice. Again, I'd just be thrilled to be receiving flowers, I would love it all.
2. What color rose is your favorite?
Peach. A friend send me peach colored roses. They were the mini roses. So pretty.
3. What is one of your favorite garden flowers?
Lilies. I have yellow, orange and purple. I also like pansies.
4. Do you like carnations?
Yes.
5. What is your stance on dandelions? Weed or pretty lawn decor?
Definitely a weed *blech*
6. Flowers at funerals. Waste of time or pretty tribute?
I now think of them as a waste of money so I like it when the family asks people to donate money to a certain cause in their memory.
mmmmmmm, mac and cheese
Did you say something?

*pout* I'm sure I won't be getting flowers.
I love lilacs.
Phil sent me a dozen peach roses when we were first dating, they were gorgeous.
Oh and if you're going to the Niagra thingy and taking the ferry accross, stop and see us.
1. any fresh boutique
2. yellow
3. anything bright colored
4. yes
5. I likey, but think they are weeds when in the middle of the yard. LOL!
6. Pretty tribute. Flower or plants are nice.
Breezy,
We may have to plan a side trip for the peep meet just to come & visit you! I know we have some extra vacation, so another day on either the trip there or back wouldn't kill us.
Now get back to your calculator.
1. I HATE ROSES. I love daisys, tulips and hygrangeas are my favorite.
2. Oops. See above. Hate them.
3. Hydrangia (butchering the spelling, I know)
4. No.
5. Weed. Some weeds are beautiful, (there is a purple one I am thinking of) but all weeds look unkept in a lawn. But it is fun to pop the heads off.
6. Whatever the griveing wants. If nothing is specified, I send flowers. If they want a donation, I will happily do that too.
1. I like to receive carnations. I like to give the recipient whatever their favorite flowers are.
2. Peach
3. Are orchids considered a garden flower?
4. My favorite, especially the mini ones
5. weed
6. Waste of money
1. What kind of flowers are your favorite to give or receive?
To give, usually whatever the receipients favorite is or what is in seasonal type colors. To receive, a plant of some sort.
2. What color rose is your favorite? Yellow. Is there any other color?
3. What is one of your favorite garden flowers? Tulips, gladiolas, pansies...oh anything that looks pretty really.
4. Do you like carnations?
Not so much. They remind me of junior high. We would sell carnations every Valentines Day for $1. EVERYONE had tons of them from friends and parents and boyfriends and girlfriends in every color imaginable.
5. What is your stance on dandelions? Weed or pretty lawn decor?
Weed. But in a huge field, they are fun to pick and blow the seeds all over.
6. Flowers at funerals. Waste of time or pretty tribute?
Always a beautiful thought if nothing is specified, especially a potted plant. DH has an enormous English Ivy from his grandfathers' funeral that he cherishes. I have a ficus tree from my grandpa's last year.
Not much into flowers...
Just wanted to say that I really enjoy hanging around with all you women. The occassional non man friendly topic is a small price to pay for the privelege.
Thanks to all of you for accepting me and giving me a glimpse into your lives.
Hmmm... no jokes in there. Am I losing my touch?
*sits with MTW*
I'm not into flowers either. For any occasion. I prefer they stay in the ground where they belong.
1. What kind of flowers are your favorite to give or receive?
I think it depends on the person and the occasion. I like receiving any kind of flowers. Today I will likely receive roses.
2. What color rose is your favorite? Red. And I like the little roses the best. And I also don't like them fully in bloom.
3. What is one of your favorite garden flowers? Tulips or Gerbera Daiseys.
4. Do you like carnations? No.
5. What is your stance on dandelions? Weed or pretty lawn decor? In a field or someone else's lawn, they are pretty. On my lawn they are weeds.
6. Flowers at funerals. Waste of time or pretty tribute?
It depends. My MIL loved flowers, so it was a nice tribute to her to have so many beautiful arrangements there. Except the freaking ugly "bleeding heart" carnation arrangement that my BIL sent from the "children." It was just horrid looking in the middle of all of the really pretty arrangements.
Awww, MTW, that was so sweet. I really expected some snarkiness to creep in, but nothin'. *smooch*
Happy V-day!
1. What kind of flowers are your favorite to give or receive?
--If I don't know what kinds of flowers a person likes I will usually give a mixed bouquet and hope their favorite is in there somewhere. I like to receive alstromeria (but I have no idea how to spell it, lol.) They are also known as the Peruvian daffodil.
2. What color rose is your favorite?
--I like bicolor roses best, especially in hot colors. Any color but pink, thank you very much.
3. What is one of your favorite garden flowers?
--I love lilies, freesia, and (stangely) hollyhocks.
4. Do you like carnations?
--Not so much. White ones are fun flowers for kids because they absorb dye so easily and the kids can color them.
5. What is your stance on dandelions? Weed or pretty lawn decor?
--It's the classic yard weed. But in England? It is an exotic, imported wildflower; they don't grow well in England for some reason.
6. Flowers at funerals. Waste of time or pretty tribute?
--Don't many families express a preference in the obituary? I would follow their preference. That said, I like a spray of flowers on the actual casket. And I detest the practice (here in the midwest, anyway) or ripping the flowers out of the casket spray for souveniers just before the actual internment. It strikes as strangely rude.
