I'm reading A Million Little Pieces. I can see why he lies...who could remember all those details when you are a drug addict? That doesn't mean I agree with what he did. I've voiced my views on that numerous other times elsewhere. But I'm trying to put all that aside while I read it.
What I'd like to say is that I'm getting sick of books about self-loathing. I've read a few in the last year & it's getting old fast. Of course, I wonder if I'd be more receptive to this book if I knew someone struggling with an addiction. I know an alcoholic, but not intimately. I guess I'm very lucky in that regard.
I'm getting very excited for Valentine's Day. Chris is throwing a little wrench in my plans by talking about taking Wednesday off work. I talked myself through it & realized it will work either way.
I brought a mac & cheese lean cuisine & a low fat microwave chicken burrito for lunch. It's too much, yet one on it's own wouldn't be enough. Right? I know, I should've brought one & some raw veggies. Like I have time to cut up veggies.
If you've read OT, you know I watched the Afterglow video by INXS today. I got chills. I love the song, I love JD & I love how hot he looks in the video. The other band members look good, too, but were almost non-existant in the video.
Enough rambling.

Hmmmmmmmmmm what if Chris wants to take the day off so that he decorate the house to surprise you? Or does he want you to take the day off also?
Have one of the Lean Cuisines for lunch then the other as a mid-afternoon snack.
He wants me to take it off, too. His coworker knows both of our plans but is sworn to secrecy. I told her she has to let us know if one interferes with the other. Problem solved.

I think you should take the day off on Wednesday too so you don't have to get up early. *grin*
Do you think he does have a surprise for you and that is why he is taking the day off?

I was stressing about him wanting to take off Wed because I was worried he wants to be home (since we never are these days). If we got up in Madison, went home (45 min drive), we'd have to drive BACK into Madison that afternoon at 3:00. If he takes the day off, I'll just have to convice him we'll have fun "sleeping in", hitting the whirlpool, playing some trivia & having a beer at his favorite wing joint, etc. before our night job.

I'm a volunteer usher down here at the Warner Theatre, where INXS is coming on the 18th. Unfortunaly, tickets have been sold out forever and I'm not landing at National until 6:20 from Miami, which would put me back here too late to usher. Ah well.
And I'm not sure what he's doing for me for valentine's day. I got this yesterday (he's sent flowers before & knows they just drop those at the hospital info desk & call me..but maybe forgot) It damn well had better not be a singing valentine. I hate those things and I have to believe he wouldn't do such a thing to me.:
