Our friends just opened a bar a few miles from us. They have a huge mechanical bull. Should I try riding it (obviously when the bar is close to empty...say, on a Wed. afternoon)? Will I hurt myself?
Anyone remember a rant about my sister back on OT awhile ago? She has this psycho husband she's been with for 16 years (yes, he's always been psycho). She filed for divorce last year & never went through with it. Psycho was going to LA to sell his "screenplay" he'd been working on (when he was fired from selling cars) and gambled away all his money on the way out there. Thus, he came back, cried a lot & told my sister he loved her, blah blah blah. Well, he lost his car salesman job again & was unemployed for a month. He was having fits of rage around the house, breaking everything in the apartment (they sold the house last time he left). He's been out of the house two weeks & she's dating a guy. While some might say that's soon, I will say "Whatever keeps her away from Psycho." I babysat her three tyrant boys while she went out Saturday night. I cried in frustration once. Worst.behaved.ever. So we'll see if she actually goes through with the divorce this time. He basically is stalking her now (58 calls to her cell phone on Friday), calling her a whore one minute & begging her to take him back the next. He's threatening to kill himself. I can see murder-suicide, so I'm a bit worried about my sister. I gave her my pepper spray this weekend. It's not much, but it's something.
Wow, I'm happy to have a normal life.

I think Ginger has pictures of me and Catt riding a mechanical bull at the fair. It was a blast and yes, you should try it.

I could never do the mechanical bull thing with my neck. I'd end up in a wheelchair. If I was your age and it weren't for my neck issues I'd be on that thing in a heartbeat.

Wow. Sorry about your sister's situation. That has to be difficult for you. Why can't break-ups be more civilized?
When our friends split in August it sure made me realize what a happy life I have. Sure I've had some rough spots but I've still got a pretty good life and I'm so grateful for it.

As for your sister, sorry it hasn't gotten any better for her. I think a restraining order and Nolay teaching her to use a gun and her buying a gun should probably be her top three priorities. Good luck to her.
Sorry to hear that your sister's situation hasn't gotten better. It must be very scary for you and your family. The guy sounds like a bomb ready to explode.
