Out with the old

I have multiple bottles of shower gels & soaps to use.

I have multiple, half-used bottles of face cleanser to use.

I have a billion eye shadows to use.

I've been on a "no more new stuff" kick since early 2007. The eye shadows will take me at least another year to start getting scarce. The face cleanser will probably last until mid-February.*see note The shower gels another year.

Note: I have half a bottle of a plain Clearasil cleanser that I don't recall buying. It may just get tossed as it dries my skin too much.

I did not leave the Clearasil at your house.

I have a basket of such items under the bathroom lavatory. One of the things on my vacation list was to clean it out. That didn't happen. I have decided to hold off on shampoo until I use what's in there. I think I've got about 2 months worth.

Once upon a time Tom put a whole bunch of shampoo "dregs" into one big bottle. I was hysterical at first - but it turned out to be very nice stuff.

I thought you weren't supposed to use opened mascara that was more than a few months old? Because stuff can grow on it?

It's not mascara, it's mineral eye shadow. I kept getting a bunch free with my Everyday Minerals purchases & now have too many.

You can send me some of those eyeshadows. Or you could list them on Over There for grits swapmeet *grin

Swami - I did that with the shampoo and conditioner and just finished up the bottles. They were great.

*on a side note - I have horrible static cling in my hair and have had for the past week or so!

*rubs a Bounce sheet in Tummy's hair*

I have Bounce sheets, but I don't use them for laundry. I use them for other things - like removing the smell from clothes.

Really? You can rub Bounce sheets on your head?

Swami <--really gullable today

I've been trying to use up toiletries, too. I've occasionlly combined products into one bottle.

I've declared 2009 to be the year I use up the many, many, many assorted beauty products that are cluttering my space. Makeup, shower gels, soaps, fancy shampoos, etc. Seriously, why do I buy so much when I know I already have 15 of each *insert product* at home?

I'm addicted to beauty products.

L'Oreal/Philosophy/Revlon = crack

I do have to say I am not brave enough to mix my shampoo. *shudders*
