Have you noticed drivers going slower these days?
I get the whole saving gas mileage thing, but really...52 on a two-lane road? Makes it really difficult for the rest of us. Can't we all agree that 57 or so would be a good compromise? Worse yet are those that have decided they don't want to use their cruise control. Makes it hard to save gas when you aren't maintaining a constant speed, assholes. 50, 58, 54, 48, 55, 58...yeah, it's hard for me to keep a pleasant mood when I keep almost ramming into your back end from your constant slowing and speeding up.
I'm not such a fan of driving right now. Wish a bus ran closer to our direction.

I have actually slowed down. I have a notoriously lead foot, usually doing between 80-85 on the freeway.
I have slowed it down to the speed limit lately. I stay out of the fast lane though. I also noticed that I got about 20 more miles out of my tank.
I've slowed down about 4 mph on both the interstate and hwy (from 9over to 5 over). It's the five UNDER that's killing me.
I stopped speeding on a regular basis when I had to go to a group session at the DMV about 10 years ago.
*snort* Boo got in trouble.
I've slowed down because I got a speeding ticket about a month ago for going 11 over on the highway. Now I try to keep it between 5-8 over.
I CANNOT stand people who drive under the speed limit. It's one of my biggest driving peeves.

Oh, and my car insurance was $2200 a year too. That made me reconsider.
Gah! Mine was up to about $1500 during my worst years (tickets for speeding and two accidents on my record). I got picked on for that. I'm soooo going to lecture my niece and nephew about the perils of bad driving. They are going to hate me.
Man, it's gonna kill me to drive to Atlantic City this weekend.
The New Jersey state sport is Driving Like an Effing Maniac. If you go slower than 75, someone will be happy to drive through the back of your car.
I, too, have a leaden foot. I don't know if I can be happy goin' 60 in the center lane. That dog just won't hunt.
Also, I think there's less drivers on the road.
