Thirsty Thursday

I've taken all of Boo's fancy stuff from her coffee bar last week. Enjoy a coffee drink with a plate of havarti dill scrambled eggs and toast.

-It's pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin shake time at various places. Yum.

-I have all my travel plans made for my upcoming trips. I'm in California this weekend (and yes, Puffy, if Northern CA falls into Southern CA, I'll come and see you!) through Monday, back again Nov. 14-21 and then to Dallas Nov. 25-27. I don't think I'm going to like the back-to-back travel in November. Can I skip Thanksgiving? I should've just told everyone I was gone through that weekend and spent all weekend sleeping with the cats. *grin*

-Do you think Chris will be ok that long without me?

-Cell phone plans are crazy. We have a cheapo plan that no longer exists. I went to inquire about changing to a nationwide because of my traveling. It's actually cheaper for me to pay the extra $15-20/month on my line of roaming charges when I travel, than to upgrade our plan.

-I'm struggling through my 1 mile runs. Tell me I'll reach my goal of 2 miles by Christmas. *gulp*

Enjoyed catching up - I like coming here because you post so regularly. I'm so jealous of your travel plans. You are running 1 mile - wow, good for you. I'm starting my fall exercise program Monday - really?

Wow. Back to back travel does suck. Chris will be fine. He'll subsist on beer and peanuts, but he'll be fine. The cats are probably a different story.

Excersize? *snort* I don't do excersizes. I'm a lazy momma.

Lasann-we want to hear about your exercise on Tuesday! I'll remember to ask you about it...maybe.

Momma-maybe he could paint the bedroom while I'm gone. *snort*

You could always bring Chris with you. :)

He's busy shooting things in November.

I vote for picking out the paint for the garage and leaving the cans in the middle of the garage before you leave town.

kim (weltek) said...

In case he comes home early, that's a heck of an idea.

Yet another reason you love me the mostest, right? *grin*

Duh, of course.

You will reach your goal of two miles by Christmas.

See? I am nice.

Speaking of Dallas. I forgot to tell you. Yesterday, in the hallway during the power outage, a student walked by in a Tony Romo jersey. I appreciate Romo as much as the next person (maybe sometimes more) but a Cowboys jersey in my hallway? I'm not sure I appreciate that. Do you think people will feel that way when I wear my NYG #17 jersey? Not that I care, mind you. I'm just wondering.

Does that mean it's eggnog latte time too?

kim (weltek) said...

This behavior is improved, missy. Let's keep the trend up.

Yep, I bet someone, somewhere feels the same when you wear your NYG jersey. :-)

And I will try to observe the eggnog latte availability at the airport this weekend.

Whoa! It's Thursday and you'll be in NorCal Saturday.

*checks fancy geek watch*

That's just 2 days from now!!! :-) Yay!

kim (weltek) said...

Technically, I'll be there tomorrow night, unless SF isn't considered NorCal. *makes whoooshy plane landing sound*

by the way...why is the title of your post Thirsty Thursday? You didn't offer any drinks, except coffee. Or even mention being thirsty.

I'm a pumpkin decoration and pumpkin smell kind of gal, but me no really likey the taste of any of that.

I'm all packed for the trips. Even the cheesehead.

Chris will be fine. He'll be getting his gun ready for shooting things.

I have no clue about cell phone things because I have decided not to handle that. Until I need to, I don't concern myself with it.

I ran almost a whole mile last night, so I think if we do this together, we'll be good.

Also, I am very disturbed that there is not a Tuesday, Tuesday post here this week. Really. It's like stepping on a crack, etc.

Perhaps you could go in and add one just for me?

couch to 5k plan! It works, you know it does. Anyone looking to start running, I would suggest using it.

mtw said...

Okay, Breezy, I'll look into your couch to 5K thing. I really do want to start running again.

kim (weltek) said...

LOL-I'll consider your issues, Boo.

Breezy-I looked into the Couch to 5K thing. Didn't you say there was a downloadable musicy thing or something with it? Linkies please!

I can run a mile, but I'm huffing and puffing more than I should after half-a-mile. I do better when I run faster because it's less time running. Still takes me almost 12 minutes, which is really jogging I guess. :-)

I have a treadmill that the cats use more than I do.

Our phone plan has the same issue Kim. I looked into getting Devon a phone, and it would cost more to change and add him than to get him a pay as you go one. Same with the roaming. I checked that in July when I went to Houston. Stoopid.

I am very gellus about your upcoming peep meet. Are you flying out of MKE?

Debcapsfan said...

Mmm...dill cheese.
Good luck with all that travel, it sounds fun, but exhausting.

MM said...

Yay! You're almost here! :)

And what's with all this running? Is it like, exercise or something? Just so you know, there will be NO running when we meet, k?

dragonflies said...

MM, I think I love you. Can I visit so we can not run?

kim (weltek) said...

LOL-agreed, we will not be running during our peep meet. Our blazers would not be good running gear, anyway. I'm a bit worried that my shoes are not good enough to meet you, though.

DF, I'm flying out of Madison. Although, I enjoy having cheap pasta and drinks at Amelia's by Mitchell! A man almost slipped Roofies in our drinks there one night, but I digress...

Oh, and my cat loves to hop on the treadmill when I get off. I wonder if he gets disappointed when it doesn't move.

Has anyone seen that commercial where the mom, dad and daughter are sitting at an outdoor cafe and mom gets up in her 80s aerobics gear? It makes me giggle.

Swami said...

80s aerobics gear was awesome looking! It was also the last time I did aerobics, lol. Right now I would be happy if I could walk a mile! (But I have to start doing some serious walking in a couple of weeks. Tom wants to buy me a membership in a local health club so I can get a "personal" trainer again. The one I had in the 80s was way cute.)

Chris will be fine. He can just drop into scruffy hunter mode and happily stay there whenever you are gone.

It's not too late to be "gone" for Thanksgiving. You could develop another trip. Or you could come down with something on your first trip and not want to bring your infection to any parties. Then you can skip Thanksgiving.

Noe I am humming Disco Duck / Macho
Man and it's all your fault!

MM said...

DF, I will happily not run with you. :) *smooch*

Kim, I have NO idea what I will be wearing when we meet. I still don't have a time or idea of *where* we will meet, and that will help determine what I wear. Dont' stress about your shoes, as I will be looking at your oobies. :P
