Creamy Gloucester and thin, crisp crackers today, boys & girls.
I had yesterday off & didn't get much accomplished. Laid some patio pavers, read some of my book (Under the Banner of Heaven for our OT Book Club), watched a little of Big Fish & putzed around. Chris was at the annual EAA convention & fly-in all day, so it was nice to have a little time to myself. Well, myself & the needy cats. Tonight, if it's raining, I think I'll work on cleaning the basement while Chris gets the boat (that we are boatsitting) in the garage.
So, you readers, music listeners & movie watchers, how do you prefer/tend to purchase your media?
Books: I like to purchased used copies from the used bookstore or amazon.com.
Music: If BMG has a good sale, I'll buy a new cd from there. Otherwise, most of my music is either purchased from the used cd store or bought via downloads online.
Movies: I don't buy movies. Ok, once in a blue moon I'll buy a tv series on dvd, but that is it.
And you?

Ewan MacGregor....mmmm...sorry off to fantasy land.
I rarely have time to do any of those things anymore. *pout*
I get books from friends, family, libray. Also buy new from bookstore.
Music? Radio. All I have time unfortunately and only when I am in the car.
Movies? Never rent since we ahem have issues with the Blockbuster and Hollywood Video. We buy and stack em up to watch when we have time. Hee. We have a lot to watch right now. After the kids go to bed and get settled it is around 9-9:30 and I won't last through a whole movie so we end up not watching. Soemtimes we catch an HBO movie.
I like owning the DVD's thoough.
I rarely purchase media. I don't buy music very often, I go to the library instead of buying books, and occassionally buy movies from wherever is cheapest.
Books: Mostly Amazon for books I really want to keep-otherwise the library.
Music: I pretty much exclusively get it from downloads off the Internet.
Movies: I ask for them as gifts or very rarely get them from Amazon.
Books: Mostly new from Barnes & Noble. I like to keep the books by authers I enjoy.
Music: I rarely buy CD's, but when I do, it's usually from Wal-Mart.
Movies: Same as CD's.
I like the free stuff I can steal off the internet!
What? *grin*
Nah! I'm kidding! I don't buy much of that stuff. *shrug*
Airplane bottles of liqor! Yum!
I buy books from either my neighborhood Barnes & Noble or Amazon.com. I have a number of authors for whom I will happily buy hardcover. I love my books. Just finished The Husband by Koontz - he's one of my hardcover guys.
Music I rarely buy. One advantage of listening to a lot of oldies is that I already have them! Newer music I usually buy from Borders.
I don't buy very many movies. Usually from Target. I rent now and then from a local store called Johnny's.
Oooh! Nutz is a school teacher who pirates music off the Internet! ;-)
I rarely buy movies or CD's. Books I buy used at the second-hand store.
Books: Library, and if I find something I really want I'll buy it from Amazon or Target/Wal-Mart/K-Mart.
Music: I download. Occasionally I will buy from Amazon. I used to buy a ton of cd's, but not so much anymore. I wish I could afford to buy all the cd's I want.
Movies: I don't buy movies very often, but if I do it's usually from Amazon. My Netflix subscription fills my movie needs.
Books: trashy romances I plan on keeping (these days that's just Stephanie Laurens) I'll get from Wal-Mart since it's cheapest. Hardcovers I'll order from Amazon.
Movies: Most of my DVDs come from Amazon these days because they're older movies that I can't find anywhere else (like The Greatest Show on Earth.) New releases either Wal-Mart or Target (whoever's cheapest.)
Music: Almost exclusively iTunes these days. If I can catch a new CD the week it's released, I can sometimes get it cheaper at Target. My problem with iTunes now is singles being released so long before the album. Like I really want Christina Aguilera's new song, but I know I'll probably wind up getting the album when it's released and I don't want to buy the same song twice, so I'm waiting.
