Unexpected Guests

Do guests stop by your house unannounced or at the last minute (e.g., "Hey, we are near your house and wondered if you are home.")? We live in an area where people often drive past on their way to someplace else, and are right off the highway, so it happens with reasonable frequency. I've become quite adept at the five minute spiff up.

People just happen to drive past your house on the way to someplace else? You mean like on their way to a wedding reception? *grin*

This doesn't happen too often to me, but I don't like it. Especially since I can't seem to keep my living room presentable.

It rarely happens in this house, which is good because I hate that!

In our previous house by Lake of the Isles people used to stop by more often, especially in the summetime "walking" season. I often felt it was to have a cool drink & use my bathroom. I'm suspicious like that.

I hate when people come by unannounced.

Mom-in-law used to do that. I put an end to it.

Now she doesn't want to come over even when we invite her.

Nobody stops by unannounced, thank goodness. With the see-through glass in my new front door, I can't hide anymore if someone does stop by.

Sometimes. Not a whole lot but every once in awhile.
