Let's say you got hooked up with someone, hadn't talked yet, just some quick emails to schedule a date for a cocktail.
What would you reveal in the first 15 minutes?
a) How to pronounce your name
b) Your job
c) You spent time in a military prison for going AWOL
d) You are in the middle of a divorce which you just recently filed for
e) You've only had one serious relationship in your life
f) Your biggest lifelong dream
I mean, I haven't dated for awhile, but the answers are not c-f, right? 15 minutes seems a bit too soon.

I would reveal a) and b) right off - and I would reveal d) if directly asked about my marital status. I would never reveal c) or e) on a first date. Never! I have lots of big lifelong dreams - so I could find a couple to trot out in the first 15 minutes if it seemed like a nice topic at the time.

As far as A. and B., I'd give a fake name and a fake job. I wouldn't reveal C.-F.

I'd keep c, d, e and f to myself for the first 15 minutes, but d would definitely be said by the end of the date. Maybe c too. If we totally clicked, perhaps f.
E stays locked up until the relationship is more serious.
Heh-it was a blind date Chris and I were sitting next to at the bar last week. We were in gigglefits and didn't want to leave until their date was over!
I agree about a & b. Wow. That would have been a total hoot to sit in on.

You know what? The very first time I met Pene, she asked me within five minutes whether "I like kids".
All the usual rules of dating went out of the window right there.
I'm surprised that I didn't just run screaming from the room, but somehow I'm still there.
So, did you two come up with your own fake blind date while sitting next to that blind date couple? You should have described some dating horror stories in a loud voice while next to these two, heh.
