I'm in one of those moods where I can't focus on the work that needs to be done. Argh. So, you get a new blog post.
I'm getting grumpy about the amount of tv our household watches. The number of mediocre hour long shows is getting on my nerves. Can't we just read sometimes? I say "we" because we have no good spot for quiet reading in our house when the tv is done. It's reason enough for me to want to finish the basement, but that's like a $10K solution to a minor problem. So, I downloaded a free app that plays rain, wind, waves, etc. and listen to that while I read in the four season room. I can't listen to music and read very well. My brain gets too distracted.
Nolay is watching the following hour longs (I know I'll forget some):
Terra Nova
Body of Proof
Hawaii 5-0
Grimm
Pan Am (I also watch this)
Sons of Anarchy (again, I watch this)
NCIS sometimes (or as I call it, Hawaii 5-0 lite)
Survivor
The Mentalist
I think he's given up on Blue Bloods and thank goodness didn't get into TAR this season. Thank goodness Charlie's Angles is over, as he was also recording that. This is in addition to about six half-hour comedies. That's a lot of tv, even with a DVR.

*laughs at what you call a LOT"
I watch Body of Proof. In fact, Michael and I have basically the same argument every Tuesday night about my recording both Body of Proof and Parenthood as the same time, thus tying up the TV in hte bedroom.
I watch Survivor, but none of those other shows.
What about your sun room? Is that not quiet enough?
On the side of the sun room that meets with the living room is a wall of surround sound speakers. It's where I prefer to read, and thus, shutting the door partially (otherwise the cats howl) and putting in my headphones is the best I can do. I wish I wasn't so distractable.
Luckily I can zone out the tv and read. Phil watches old westerns, the only prime time network TV we watch is Big Bang Theory and I'm the only one that watches it. I DVR and watch Sunday morning all by myself. *happy sigh*
By the way, I still love Blue Bloods. I have a mini crush on Donny Walberg. Or however the hell you spell his name.
It's Donnie. Trust me, I know. *eye waggle*
He's got the Right Stuff, Baaaaby....
I'm watching too much TV, too. I've gradually deleted some of the new sitcocms that are way too silly and not up to par with the older sitcoms. If I miss a few days of "catch-up," I get too far behind. Then we have the shows that we both watch, mostly 1-hour dramas and TAR, so I have to wait for him to find time to watch those.
