First, I need to say something nice about Tummy:
I'm happy she joined blogland because she updates a lot and posts pics for us all to partake in her life. I'm glad to have her in my blog family. And she has awesome fun hair. Now, on with the show:
Yard Thrashers
Chris and I have different ways of working. I like to make a list and spread my tasks out. He likes to wait until he has motivation then dive in to whatever interests him at the time. This weekend, we compromised. He was feeling like he'd been a bum lately and wanted to get stuff done around the house. I wanted to be outside because it was beautiful (and had a few projects on my list). Turns out his project list was about five times the size of mine!
1. Friday afternoon I arrived home from Birmingham and decided to finish the flowerbed weeding I'd started last week. I also laid out the roll of contractor edging to finish a flowerbed on Saturday (it needed to be rolled out so it was more pliable). Chris got home and also wanted to move a few retaining wall blocks and giant stump sized logs from the woods. I drew the line after that as my back was getting sore.
2. Saturday I cleaned house then hit the yard. We filled up an entire retaining wall with fill by hand (well, shovels and our lawnmower's yard cart), cut the last few retaining wall blocks, bought topsoil and laid it out on top of weed barrier, planted two bushes, and lined the bush area with cobblestones. Chris stained eight pieces of lattice (much to Swami's displeasure) for under our deck.
3. Sunday I did homework, lined my flowerbed with the contractor edging, mulched a few flowerbeds, moved the snowblower to the yard barn, and then we tackled the lattice project and finished it.
Facebook Rules
Does anyone with a spouse have "Facebook Rules?" These can be either ones you've clearly discussed or ones presumed in your head.
Mine? If you've had sex with someone, I would prefer they not be your Facebook friend. If the person is seriously crazy and is prone to bringing crazy wherever they go, they shouldn't be your Facebook friend.
There are other mucky situations (someone he/she dated, but didn't have sex with, for instance) that I'm still not sure where I stand.

Is the green for yard work?
I like your list method, but I probably am a little more like Chris when it comes to yardwork.
Also, we need lattice for under our deck. It has been on my mental list for five years now. It's still there.
Facebook Rules. Michael doesn't have a Facebook account, and I really don't see him getting one. I don't like that certain unhappy, unmarried people who work with him feel the need to comment about how many men I know. I agree with you about exes, etc. None of my exes is a friend of mine on Facebook because I think it would make for an uncomfortable situation all around.
Of course the green is for yardwork. I knew you'd notice. :-)
Don't ask Swami to come and help you with the lattice. She'll burn it instead.
*flips awesome fun hair - gives kim a kiss
Wow, just reading about your weekend wore me out!
Can I borrow Chris for a weekend? I have a downed tree that I want pulled around to use as an edge to a new flowerbed. I keep telling Rob that and it's still where it started.
Oops - forgot the Facebook stuff. I think those are good rules. I have no rules as Rob wouldn't ever have a FB page and I don't cultivate friends.
and your title .... a take on Yard Crashers? I would love to be Crashed and if I ever saw that Rob had turned down Ahmed I'd beat him to death.
Tummy, I think it was Yard Crashers that I saw the other day where the dude's backyard was such a mess. And the designer came in and said something like, "Dude, I just took a good look and dayum. . . " It was so funny.
Yep-a take on Yard Crashers! Chris and I both agree-if ever approached by one of those shows, we'll hug them and thank them and of course say yes. We've been spending breakfast time on weekends watching lanscape shows, Moving Up (I love me some Doug) and flipping shows. It helps inspire us to go do work. :-)
*cries over the stereo-typical lattice*
(Because I'm too far away to set it on fire.)
Do you watch Curb Appeal? That's my favorite landscape show. Well, it's more than just landscape because they rethink/redo the exterior of most houses too.
You guys were super productive this weekend! I am very impressed. That's a huge amount of work!
I kept clicking on the green phrases but nothing happened. They no linky to nothing.
I don't understand Facebook but it seems to me that disenchanted former lovers are both the people you should least have - and the people most likely to try and crash your party. And by party I mean life.
We like Curb Appeal as well.
Funny you mention that, Swami. I think "Facebook Crashers" should be a new hip term for the people you don't want to find you. I'll credit you.
