We brought the convertible to work today & I'm wearing short sleeves and sandals! Granted, my toes froze on the way to work. Horray for spring! I planted two bushes and a tree yesterday.
This weekend we are heading to Dubuque, IA to buy some landscaping block. It's the closest place that has matching stones to what we need (long story I won't bore you with). We'll also be going to the http://www.potosibrewery.com/ , as I've never been, but Chris has.

We had a beautiful day teaser yesterday. I wore sandals to an outdoor work event last night and ended up inside because my feet were cold.
Hopefully Michael will have his convertible done in the next month or so.
Enjoy your road trip!
20 degrees and sunny here. Can't wait to get home. I've got meat marinating in the fridge just dying to become one with the grill.
Oh, and 20 degrees is somewhere in the range of 72ish.
Sorry about your toes freezing but I trust they were nicely painted?
Yes, the toes look good, but I was thinking in about two more weeks another pedicure is in order. Professionals do such a better job than I do. :-)
This weekend was GORGEOUS! I cannot wait for it to get to the point when you don't have to wear a sweater in the morning or evening, and your toes are just fine in sandals/flipflops!
*squeals* for warm weather
Grr. It was chilly and rainy most of the weekend here. Today is sunny, but still under 50 for the high. We still had a good time, though. We bought a lot of stuff for yard projects, so that will keep us busy well into May.
Now, I need to find some farmer that will let me pick rocks from his yard, as I have a cobblestone thing started for my flower bed borders.
Saturday was hot here. I think it was almost 80. That's really pushing it for April. I got sunburn washing my car. Yesterday was good. Today is chilly. I would love an actual Spring and Fall. That is too much to ask for nowadays. Shawn bought me a few pansies a couple weeks ago. I planted them and it snowed. They made it though, thankfully.
Monday:
cold
rain
ick.
Isn't the soil too cold for planting?
Not for planting bushes. It's prime transplant season for hardy trees and shrubs right now.
It's sleeting out this morning. I'm not a fan. Of course, I just bought six new spring/summer tops on Sunday and can wear none of them. I was rather proud of the cost, as I had a $50 gift card to JCP and the friends/family 20% off, so the shirts averaged out to $13.50 each and I only had to spend $30 of my own money.
Pedicure? You're not allowed to get a pedicure right now. You have to build up the calluses.
Wahhhh, it's APRIL!
It's bee-you-tee-full here today. I have my backdoor open and the birds are singing. The hammock is also calling my name. Must.Resist.
You're killing me, Tummy!
I mowed my yard this morning - so take yesterday and add the smell of fresh mown grass.
Tempting you to visit OK yet? :)
You have grass in Oklahoma? I thought it was just a big dust bowl. :-)
*snort
Just for that I will tell you we were in the 90's yesterday.
