Vacation Pics

Puerto Vallarta. We went to the Botanical Gardens considerably south of town and then walked along the Malecon, which is famous for sculptures and sand art.

Apparently there was an entire "Last Supper" scene during the Christmas season.

This was a bus stop. Notice the cows grazing in the background. :-)

This little fella visited while I was sitting in the bathroom at the botanical gardens. Eeek!

The blue spiky plants on the bottom are agave, for you tequila fans.

Mazatlan. It was bigger than I expected! We went over to Stone Island and drank and ate (OMH-the shrimp were AMAZING), away from the crowds. It was a nice, scenic, relaxing way to spend some time. Later we went to the touristy area and did some shopping.

Some of the "palapas," the beach huts that served food and drink.

Mazatlan is home of Pacifico Brewery.

Our ship. It's smiling at you. :-)

Cabo San Lucas. It was pretty, but otherwise basic boring touristy stuff. If you go to Cabo, go because you want to golf, do water sports and fish. There's really not much else there other than the "get wasted" scene. On a better note, the whales were constantly around the ship and harbor, teaching their babies how to breathe. I took some pics, but they were crappy because they never came far out of the water.

*snort* Spicy Tuna. I would name my boat Spicy Tuna.

Can we not talk about how huge my oobies look here? It's a hair embarassing.

We kept missing sunsets because we didn't ever have the camera with. This is as close as we got (in Puerto Vallarta).

Were doing the "women vacation" thing again this summer and are kicking around a cruise. Loved the pics.

Can I just say how much I love your new shorter 'do'? It looks fab!!

Great pictures. That orchid is beautiful.

Love the little geco. Carlos always calls them degos. What a knob.

What's "to gold" mean?

Looks like you had a great time adn now the goal needs to be to remain de-stressed.

I love all your photos, Kim! With the one of you standing under the giant lobster sculpture I couldn't tell if you were posing as "afraid of giant lobster" or "really, really hungry." Which was it?

Seeing all the whales would have been very cool.

Let's see:

You called Nolay a cow. You just traded in the sports car for a boat, and your oobies are huge!

I've always wanted to go to Cabo. I think because I like the name of it. Or maybe because Dyland and Brenda ran off to Cabo. Michael could play golf, and I could just relax on the beach, correct? Because, really, that's all I want to do. Sit on the beach, burn and read a book or two. And nap.

You liked Stone Island> That is my least favorite place in Mazatlan. Did you go on the banana grove tour via horse and buggy?
The pics are awesome. What a great variety you got.
And I love the hair. *smooch*

Ooopsie, Nolay is not one of the cows. :-)

And yes, Carey, we liked Stone Island. You have to realize, when a cruise ship goes into a port, everything gets twice as overrun as when it's just resort-ers, so it was nice to go away from the crowds and relax. It was actually very clean and pleasant. I've heard when some people have been there, the beach has been messy. We got there early (and walked all over the place on the island) and saw an ATV and some people picking up stray trash, so I wonder if they are making a concerted effort.

They must be because after out banana grove tour we couldn't get off the island soon enough. When I saw that the bathroom was a hole in the ground in the middle of a hut I wanted off fast. Not to mention the fact that some stupid little local boy thought it was funny that I wanted nothing to do with his monster pet lizard iguana thing, so he chased me around the entire time with that thing.

I LOVE your hair, Kim! It looks gorgeous there... makes me hate this cold, wet weather even more, lol. Thanks for sharing the pics!

Beautiful photos! Mexico is an easy trip for us because no airfare is involved.
