F.U.C.K.

We have over an inch of water in the basement. All the basement. That's about 1800 square feet for anyone drawing a mental picture.

I'm home tomorrow and we are dealing with this mess. Wahhhh!

So are you home today or tomorrow. Or both?

*hugs* So sorry, they just got major flooding north of us too now. So we have roads washed out south and north of us.

Oh no! Is this going to get better anytime soon?

I can't get over how some areas of the country are just being inundated with massive amounts of water and here in the southeast we would kill for 12 inches of rain.

I feel your pain. We went through this last spring in New York. We had to bail it out five days in a row because of all the rain. BE CAREFUL. Our house was WAY older than yours but we *think* that is what led to that horrible eye infection that we had last year. Handling water with all the dust and mold.

I was watching the radar yesterday waiting for all of that mess to move my way, and I couldn't believe how long the big red and green blobs stayed put over your area. I had my fingers crossed but had a sinking feeling that it was just too much water to handle.

I'm sorry. Good luck. Ugh.

Oh phooey. I thought you were going to get away without having any personal flood drama.

Like TK says - once the water is out - even only an inch or 3 - dry, dry, dry the area with fans and a dehumidifier, and wash all the surfaces you can reach with bleach or something nasty molds really don't like.

Sorry, sorry. {hug}

Oh crap! That really sucks Kim. *hugs*

Is your basement finished? This is one day that I won't be jealous that I don't have a basement in my house.

*starts bailing*

My friend from here has a farm in Wisconsin. The propane company called to tell her that her propane tank is in the creek and the road to her house is washed out so they can't get to the tank.
