The overlooked pasta...and other stuff

4 year old cheddar with wine today. It's what I had on Saturday & there's still some left. Yum!

Ozro is the overlooked pasta. I can't always find it at the store, but happily buy it when I do. It makes an easy to eat side dish that really takes on the flavor of whatever you put with it. Even just some butter, garlic & seasoned salt will do the trick. So do yourself a favor, go buy some orzo.

Our weekend was alright. We went north. Had to see MIL, whom we were angry with. It was uncomfortable. I'm glad she went home Saturday morning & left us with the cousins, as intended. Chris's two female cousins (from his mom's side) are nice. One in particular is SUPER chatty. Well, they are both talkative, but one just blabbers on. And sometimes I forget how much people can talk. Nolay tends to give a lot of details in his work stories, but these girls made him look shy & quiet. At the end of each night I just had to detox & say "wow."

I bought some really yummy coffee and some other things at little shops this weekend. We tried a new restaurant and I bought some Napa Valley wines produced by places I'm eyeing up for November's trip. So it was pleasant.

This week I want to bust arse on the patio so we can finish in a few weeks.

Orzo! I give the kids that. Really you can't find it all the time? Do you try Barilla pasta?

Napa Valey, the wine train and Carey are on my "to do" list. I will be very jealous when you get to go.

Carey is on your to do list? That's hot.

Barilla I think is the only brand I can find on a fairly regular basis. Well, I can find really expensive stuff otherwise, but I'm not paying $6 for a container of it.

In other news, I just watched the new INXS video & don't like it. That makes me sad because I *heart* INXS & wanted it to kick ass.

I have no idea what Ozro is. I'll have to google it.

Listening to chatters can be totally exhausting to listen to. Especially if they are chattering about boring stuff.

I thought of you yesterday. We were at Sears looking at rider mowers. *giggle* I can almost guarantee that we won't be paying $5000 for one.

Ok, I just googled Orzo. It looks like rice.

But it's not Nookie, it's pasta! It's the little things in life that excite me.

Don't tell Nolay you are looking at lawnmowers. He might convince you to get a bigger one.

LOL. It must be good in soup. I love pasta!

Well, as long as Nolay doesn't talk to Mr. Nookie, I think I'm safe. :-)

I can't go into Home Depot and pass the mowers without thinking of Nolay. *snicker* I am very jealous of that cup holder!!

I kinda thought I was on everybody's todo list. Is that not the case? *pout*

Orzo is one of the few pastas I don't much care for, probably because it looks too much like rice, lol.

I love Castellano pasta, but my grocer has stopped carrying it. Stupid grocer!

I have one SIL who talks non-stop too. All conversation is about her and whatever she has most recently done. It gets so boring so fast.

I was also going to chime in about orzo being a rice wannabe. I see that's been done to death here though.

You are *ALL* on my to do list. :) Some of you appear more than once. :)

MTW is a ho!
