My wish list

Brie with caramelized apples...that's on my wish list, so we shall have it.

Things I'd like (this will come in handy when my family asks what I'd like for Christmas):

MP3 player (I found the one that seems reasonable for me): Creative Labs Zen Nano 1 GB. $65 at Circuit City.

Wok: I have no idea what kind to get. Any suggestions for something at $60 or under?

Sushi rolling kit: It looks fun.

Some cool torches for the patio:

Lots of books, including:
Marley & Me
The Blind Assasin
Population 485
Reading Lolita in Tehran
CIA Life
Naked

A KitchenAid stand mixer

Ok, I'm done for now. What would YOU like?

I just read Marley and Me. I, of course, sobbed at the end knowing that I will have to face the same thing in a few years. *SOBS*

I want all new living room furniture and a new computer. Oh and a new watch. And a new rug for the kitchen. A new job would be great too and I am working on that.

I'd like new living room furniture, too, TK! But none for us until the kids stop spilling all over.

I'd like a new sewing machine, a few nice earrings (I have maybe 3 pair), paint: blue for DS's room, purple for DD's room, something neutral for the stairway and maybe a light yellow for the living room.

And a Bowflex.

I'd like:

Laptop.
Ipod.
Front loading washer/dryer.
Enough money to hire a decorator so I don't have to figure out which colors to paint the new house.
Sunroom.

Creative Labs has EXCELLENT MP3 Players. I had a Zen Micro that I LOVED until I dropped it waiting for the Metro platform.
I could use a dinning room table and chairs. Maybe each family member could get me a chair.
:)

Oooh, oooh, I want a front-load washer too.

I would like my shelving things for the playroom. The ones that we can put little baskets of toys under and then use the top as tables or benches. And I need to have two chalkboards to put on the wall over them.

I also need some baskets or other containers for crayons and art project supplies.

I also need a leather chair for our home office.

I would like to paint my kitchen red and get all new bright white dishes.

I would like new kitchen flooring and some new carpet. Or just two days off to shampoo the carpet I have and scrub and wax the kitchen floor.

I would also like to completely redo our yards - front and back.

That's probably it for now.

I forgot a dishwasher. In order to put one in, we'd have to knock out five drawers and a cabinet. Just can't give up the space :(

And a new floor in the mudroom. Thea has started the remodeling in there by pulling some of it up. It's the ONE SINGLE THING that she chewed as a puppy.

I love those torches.

I think we all need to take a week of vacation & go shopping! We can all swing by Nookie's and help her design her new color schemes, too.

Chris won't let me get the torches *pout*

My Mom has the sushi roller thingy and just loves it to death. She has almost worn out her original one.

I want:

A gardener
A housecleaner
A cook
Crown moulding in my bedroom.
A new driveway
A cooler car than my minivan
A humungous whirlpool tub
My own computer that I don't have to share with anybody
And a private retreat on the ocean shore.

Good list!

I'd like new living room furniture, new carpet, a new deck, OR a new house. A fuel efficient car would be nice too.

OR...someone could give me a winning lottery ticket and all of our wishes could come true.

I'd like those new lamps please.

As for the wok, we've had great success with finding restaurant-quality, low priced all things kitchen, at restaurant supply warehouses that are open to the public. Do a little snooping arund your industrial areas and you may get lucky.

Kim, I have that exact same MP3 player (got it at Circuit City) and I love it. Easy to use, nice and small, and it uses AAA batteries, which means you don't *have* to worry about recharging them.

IMHO, any cheap steel wok will do. Cost Plus sells a suitable one. They key is breaking it in, which can take quite a while.
