Pepper encrusted chevre and sesame thins.
My husband is an utterly insane control freak. His partner ("Jo") asked me to do a favor for her "between us girls." She gave him an envelope to give to me. Big mistake. He had a lil flip out that he couldn't know what it was about. Geesh. I was just trying to do the girl a favor. I told Jo to say the envelope was something benign (such as "it's for the Home & Garden Party I'm having....she booked one from my party last month & he knew that) just because I KNEW he doesn't like not knowing things.
Whatever. I just got pissed and curled up with a book last night. Finished Bleachers (John Grisham) and started For One More Day (Mitch Albom). Both quick reads.

Michelle is the same way. She doesn't even understand why we wouldn't share our email passwords with each other.
*hug*
I just started Confessions of a Shopaholic. It makes me giggle quite a bit.
Let me know if it's a worthwhile read, Breezy. After my recent spree of depressig books, I could use a laugh.
I read Can You Keep a Secret? by this same author and almost peed myself a few times from laughing.
Have you ever read any Kay Hooper books? She's become a favorite of mine. She writes this one series of books on this special unit of the FBI, where they all have special powers like mind reading, seeing dead peeps or future.
Nope, heard of her, though. Sounds like a good thing to hit the library for. Of course I just resigned with Doubleday over a free shipping on intro pack offer (7 books cost me $10 total) and I have to buy 3 over 2 years. So I figure for about $60 I'll have 10 books. Not the best bargain, but not too shabby for shiny new hardcovers.
I'm still using that books for free place. I always have atleast two books to read.
On an unrelated note:
I've fogotton what I'd planned to make for the cookie exchange & need to grocery shop. Guess I need to restart my brain.
I bet bravie's password is Farty01.
Tom is too busy to be much of a control freak. I don't think either of us hide much from the other. Can't think of anything I'm hiding right now.
I'm reading vampire stories because this is what I do over Christmas. It all started when I got Hotel Transylvania for a present one year.
I just go to B&N and buy the hardcover I want. See, I don't hang in bars, I barely drink at home, I am not a clothes horse or a shoe mule. Really books and art are my only vices so I am entitled to blow money on them. Required, almost.
What's the books for free place? The library?
OOooh, recipe ideas remembered! Yay! *evil eye* at one person on my list. I am being very challenged by this cookie making, tyvm.
It is not. It's fahrty01.
Monsty been helping you with your passwords again?
somebody has to or I forget them.

For 13.99 a month they send me books at will, as fast as I can read them and send them back I get more. They send me two at a time with postage paid envelopes, when I finish them they send the next two on my list. I always have 4 books checked out.
I would like to point out that I'm not the only one making fun of breezy on the Babes of OT thread. Geg did, too.
I hope my other comment on there doesn't encourage somebody to flash photos again.
BRRRRRRRRR. It's 18F out. I just walked a mile in it. That sucked.
*pout* see? nobody loves me. Eveyone makes fun of me. *sobs*
Am I the only one besides Chris who wants to know what was inside the envelope?
Are you SURE our husbands weren't seperated at birth?!
I'm not reading anything at the moment. I had a stack of Luann Rice cheesy brain fart novels, but I've been thru them already. GOT to get to the bookstore this weekend.
WHAT WAS IN THE ENVELOPE???
*starts throwing things*
oh look cheese!
Something tells me that Dave would say I'm the control freak in our relationship. *grin* He might even be right. So what WAS in the envelope? Huh? Huh?
Has anyone read any Suzanne Brockmann books? I just finished her latest and she just can't write them fast enough for me.
*stomps foot*
I am NOT an elf, damnit!
*adds Susan Brockman to her list on booksfree.com*
