I interrupt this holiday weekend to bring you port wine cheese spread and crackers.
And to convey my excitement over my Christmas gift from Chris and my BIL.
THE KitchenAid 600 Pro Series stand mixer. *hop*
Ok, so I don't have it yet. They have to wait til it's back in stock at whatever store had the deal on them (they are very sketchy about the details). So in January, the store will call BIL to tell him it's in. Then I shall be a mixing maniac. Yay-I can make tamales again! And if I want it will at LEAST handle 3.5 batches of cookie dough. You know, in case I want to make a standard gross of cookies. *head tilt*
This item is THE one thing I've said will complete my big want list for a long, long time. I'm so excited. I was thinking an Artisan series would've been enough, but the wise men sought out reviews and such and decided bigger was better. :-)

*hogs the portwine cheese spread*
You lucky, Kim. I have always wanted a fancy shmancy mixer. I have just a cheapy hand mixer.
I'm gellus. Waaaaaah. :)
I am back just to say that there is nothing wrong with a cheap hand job. I have enjoyed mine for many years.
Please don't make tamales. Tamales suck. And yes I have had (quote)good ones (unquote).
I just came here to *smooch* you.
One more time! *smooch*
I'll take Swami's tamales since she doesn't want them. Merry CHristmas!
*is glad I hung around for Christmas smooches*
Ooooh, so Amazon's deal on them was only $25 more than 'the' deal they found elsewhere. So they ordered it this morning & it should be here by Thursday.
What should I make first??? I think I'll have to wait til Jan. to make the tamales that Swami won't eat.
Yay! I love those! I have a Kitchen Aid one but rarely if ever use it because it is so big and I have no room for it in the kitchen. It is in the basement and too much trouble to take it out.
I hear you can make sausage with it.
Oh I had some summer sausage today! Yummy!
I hope you have a lovely Christmas Kim and Chris!
Yay Kim! I'm glad you got a present that makes you so happy. I bet you would be jellus of my mixer though. My hand + a fork. *grin*
Merry Christmas. *smooch*
I've got a really good whisk set. Does that count?
Oh, and a Cuisinart (sp?) I hardly ever use.
Hey Kim, Mom and I are heading out to look at lights.
*opens car door for Kimmy*
Merry Christmas, weltek and Nolay!
*hugs*
Merry Christmas, Mixing Goddess!
(I'm following Seana around.)
Yay for KitchenAid mixers!!! I'm super jealous, but I'll sit back and be happy with my new coffee/specialty drink maker thingie.
Merry Christmas, Kim and Chris.
*smooches* to all. I JUST showered and then put my jammies back on. It's 5:00 here. :-)
