Yes, that article from Friday IS from a satrical newspaper. I shouldn't have assumed everyone knows about The Onion. They are completely satirical and cross the line weekly. I? Love it.
Now have some dill & garlic cheesecurds. *squeak*
I had a nice weekend. Friday night we went to my brother-in-laws for a Mother's Day gathering. MIL has to be back for church services Sunday morning, so we celebrated Friday & Saturday. Friday we drank far too much wine. Saturday we visited nurseries in the rain. I bought a few perennials & some annuals.
We also had a college graduation party on Saturday night. It was a really nice time. My boss opened up her home to the student for the party. The student wanted to have a party in Madison, but her apartment is small. My boss said "Invite people to my house." How nice is that?
Sunday I cleaned & did a few projects indoors. I hope the weather gets a little nicer this week.
Hope you enjoyed your weekend, especially the bloggy moms!

It sounds like you had a busy weekend, Kim.
Mine was pretty busy too. Today I'm very very tired because I stayed up for the Survivor finale. *yawn*
My state is under a "state of Emergancy"
It's raining. It was pretty awful. My head got wet when I went outside.
Did you melt, Bob?
*wicked witch cackle*
I love The Onion. And speaking of onions, my hands are all smelly because I chopped up some onions for the pot roast I made my mother yesterday. I know I read recently some tips for getting rid of this smell. Where the heck was that? On OT, on a blog post? I can't remember!
Anyway, *smooch*
It was on OT...something about OT cooking tips. I recall one tip was about lemons & the other a stainless steel blade.
I've always just scrubbed on some lemon juice. Doesn't always work wonders, but it helps.
I need a nap. *yawn*
Thanks Kim!
It is finally sunny here. Not as warm as I would like. In fact 73 is cold by my standards.
Last night there was a huge storm. I was worried because I was afraid we would lose the satelite for Survivor. Yep, that was my worry.
Conner and I (no hubby) went to dinner at a local Japanese steak house. We went with our "adopted" family. I'm not sure yet if I'm mad or not about Michael not being there. I could have used a little help. I never go out on Valentine's Day or Mother's Day because the restaurants are chaotic. But I went. Conner did fair. He kept wanting more fire. I'm not sure if I like that or not either.
My old boss (yeah, the bitch) emailed everyone an article that Pan Am had restarted it's airline service. I had to explain to her what the Onion was. :P
Can I have the cheesecurds with no dill, please?
*wipes dill off curds for MM*
LOL at the Pan Am article, Debs!
Boo-I'm so proud of Connor for sitting through the dinner. I know how much kids usually hate that. wish your DH would have been there, too. :-(
Busy weekend, Kim. What perennials did you buy?
I bought Stonecrop (sedum) with red flowers, some bright yellow looking daisish thing (can't remember the name) and a pretty yellow, orange & red leafed coral bell.
