Daylight Savings Time Sucks

Cream Cheese danishes this morning.

Who is sleepy this morning, our first day back to work after this gawd awful thing called daylight savings time? We slept in a half an hour this morning.

I had an ok weekend, but it was busy. Friday night was my sister's birthday. We ate at Quaker Steak & Lube. I tried real food instead of just wings or appetizers this time. Still not impressed with the place. I'll stick to their soft pretzels next time.

Saturday I had a TS party and then it was off to Wisconsin Dells to have a girls night out. I hadn't seen my best friend from childhood for about two years. It was so nice to see her. Four of us went out to lots of bars and out for dinner, then back to the hotel to babble away.

Sunday I was up early because one of the girls was quite the snorer. I got home at 10:30 where Chris was busy eating leftover frozen pizza. I cleaned a little bit & then we took a nap. Ahhhhh, glorious naps. Then it was off to the bar to meet friends. I must quit drinking so much. Then it was home to cook dinner and work on my TS stuff and regular work stuff til 10. Yuck.

I need a day off.

BREEZY-I tried Peels (the pom/blueberry one). YUMMMMMMM!
CAREY-I think you package should arrive early this week. I think it was Wed. last week that I mailed it.

I'm just happy to have more light later in the day, though I was a little sleepy this morning.

Ummm, you ate at a place called Steak and Lube?! That really sounds like the title of a gay porn film...

Doesn't it though? We had a cute gay waiter if that counts. He had the best british & australian combo accent. And he gave us a free dessert. I loved him.

Daylight Savings never bothers me. The time is whatever the clock says it is, and I don't worry about it. Same thing when I fly to a different time zone - whatever the clock says is what I believe.

Dood, it sounds like an awesome weekend to me!

DH were both sick ALL weekend and are still sick today. I am miserable.

Naps don't happen in my house unless you agree to have a 55 pound lab sleeping on you.

The clocks weren't changed when I got into work this morning. It almost seemed ungodly to see that it was 6:30am when I arrived in my office. Although, to some, that may have seemed like a half hour LATE.

Quaker Steak & Lube?

That's not a real name, right?

Yay! Glad you liked them.

I had a girls night out Saturday too. *yawn*

I'm glad I'm not the only one questioning the reasoning behind eating at a place called "Steak and Lube".

I hate DST. They keep making it longer and longer. Why don't we just leave it like that?

Quaker Steak & Lube (as in Quaker State Oil) is supposedly known for their wings. It's a racing themed restaurant, pretty family oriented. I dislike their wings, but some have said they have good food. Chris had a burger & I had their menu featured chicken sandwich. Yuck. The pub chips that came with it were tasty, though.

Yay!!! a package will definitely cheer me up. *smoooooches*

I hate adjusting to daylight savings. My alarm was set for 5am but that just means that I was really getting up at 4am. *pout*

Cute gay waiter with an accent and free dessert?!

Please bring him with you to Niagara.

He said kids picked on him a lot when he was a child for his accent. I'm sure he'd love to be consoled by you.

Yeah, I'll console him ... and in the process I'll get him to give you free dessert for life!

Friendly tip: Quaker Steak and Lube should be known for just that... steak! It's in their name, silly. Try the cheesesteak next time. YUM!

You know... the original one (in Sharon, Pa.) is awesome and the one on Peach St. in Erie is good too, but I have heard the other locations just don't stack up.

Next time, drive to PA! *grin*

OK, I must have missed it earlier or just be totally spacing but...what is a TS party? Tastefully Simple what?

Never heard of that restaurant. Not too bummed about that, either. *grin*

I love that it stays lighter outside longer.

Glad you had fun with your friends. I'd love to have a girls night out.

Why haven't I gotten a package?

I haven't tried the Peels.

Sounds like a busy, but very fun weekend.

*smooch*
