For whatever reason, I always think about the song Rico Sauve when I say the word burrito.
The annual chili cookoff we participate in has added a campfire dessert category this year. At the 3 Day, Breezy and I were discussing less common ways to do dessert. Lots of people will do cobblers, maybe a few pudgie pie/campfire pie/hobo pie recipes, etc. Thus was born the concept of the dessert burrito. I tested a few in quesedilla form on the stovetop last weekend. The favorite was the banana/marshmallow/chocolate chip. I still need to try a cream cheese based one and try rolling them burrito style. Maybe I'm better off leaving them as quesedillas. Not sure if I'll do it on a tripod grate over the fire, or a cast iron pan.

Mmmm - burritos.
I can be no help here as the only campfire dessert I know is marshmallow-on-a-stick.
A burrito sounds too big. Can you make them with little tortillas so they're just 2 or 3 bites of goodness?
When I read this I was thinking "desert" campfire and pictured mastering beans in cans over an open fire. I thought it sounded like fun.
Then I reread it when faced with words like marshmallow and chocolate chip.
I'm such a boob.
*giggle* You said boob.
Swami, I was thinking of using taco sized shells, in reality. I'm concerned, though, as not all shells are so easy to roll. Maybe that's a reason to keep the quesedilla idea.
I love breakfast burritos, lunch burritos, dinner burritos, and I'm pretty sure I will love dessert burritos.
Do you need a taste tester?
Do you think it would get squished if I sent it in the mail, Augie?
I'm suddenly craving an Anita's breakfast burrito with salsa and sour cream.
I'm getting my hair cut today. Maybe I will go to Moe's since it's right there. That's the closest I got.
Mmmm. We've gone to a chili dump in our neighborhood for quite a few years. However, we feel a bit out of place, since Don can't really eat the chili dump, as some of the chilis dumped might have gluten in them. So we bring a separate pot for him. Plus this year there is the drinking thing. They all sit around and get hammered, so we may make a quick appearance.
Good idea to just make a quick appearance. I suppose then you should plan something to do after so he doesn't spend time thinking about the drinking he's missing out on.
I'll volunteer to be a taste-tester, too. I've never heard of a "chili dump."
