I love not being in classes. I've been able to enjoy the awesome weather by doing yardwork, going for convertible rides, drinking at my favorite places and feeling generally relaxed. I've started my 3 Day training and prepped my mailings for 3 Day donations (won't be able to mail them until next week after camping), so I feel on top of things.
Speaking of freedom, I didn't latch the back door very well yesterday morning (I went out to admire my teak oiling job on the new bar) and at some point it blew open, unbeknownst to me. We came home last night, with Bartleby and Ali being their normal "happy to see us" selves. Chris then saw the open door. Loki wasn't in the house. I went on the deck and said "LOKI!" and he scampered right inside. So who knows what kind of kitty adventures they had. They aren't outdoor cats. I just hope they don't get fleas. I think it's funny that two of them chose to be inside and not out enjoying their freedom the entire time.

Oh how scary though to know they could have gotten out and who knows what else...I'm glad they were all home/ok. Ours snuck another cat in once while we were gone, lol. They all went running to hide when we got home.
I kept thinking there might be an extra visitor in the house, but luckily no. Your cats must be very hospitable. :-)
I picture that all the cat guests at the super swanky cat party they had while you were out just ran out when the car came up the driveway.
If you look under the couch there might be one sleeping off the catnip.
Bartleby and Ali heard the car drive up the driveway and ran back inside the house.
Did Chris freak out at the security breach? Tom would have had a meltdown. Our house is locked up like Fort Knox 24/7.
I have one cat who loves to be out and one who fears the openness of Outside. So I would have come home to one in & one out.
My cats are like Swami's: one likes to go outside and one...well, one time she followed me out to the back porch when I was bbqing and ended up glaring wild-eyed at everything that moved and hissing until I showed her how to get back in.
I'm glad you found your cat. Oh! And you can get those back-of-the-neck flea treatment thingies at the pet store now. 3 months worth for under $20, last time I had to get some.
My cats go outside at will (well, at least when I am home to let them out). I need to get a pet door installed but that will be a project for later in the summer.
My heart would have dropped the minute I saw the door. I probably would have cried while Michelle found the furbabies.
Glad they are all safe and sound.
Ack!
As the mommie of two little ones this would have sent me over the edge.
Hamilton probably would have hidden in the house, afraid that someone would get in and Mercedes would have taken off. Although whenever she's run out with us there, she magically stops where her lead stops. She's kinda dumb that way, yet oddly fascinating.
Glad yours are safe and sound.
Springtime is great!
