Our camping weekend was fun. Too much food, as usual, and we even pared back this year. It was also fun to go see my nephew play soccer. The kids were really, really good!
I made rhubarb crisp last night, figuring I shouldn't let all the rhubarb go to waste AGAIN this year. I might make some rhubarb/strawberry jam, too. Anywhooo, I bought both ice cream and frozen yogurt last night to have with the crisp, as Chris thinks frozen yogurt is the devil. I did a blind taste test for him between Breyers vanilla ice cream and Kemps vanilla frozen yogurt. Ha! He chose the frozen yogurt!

Now I want rhubarb crisp with ice cream. Or frozen yogurt. I'm not picky.
Glad you had fun camping, but isn't it a bit cold this time of year?
I like crisp anything - just made a peach/blueberry one last night. But I cheated. I just threw the peaches and blueberries together with some sugar and then sprinkled them with Pepperidge Farms soft oatmeal cookie crumbles and baked it. :)
Tom hates his mom's rhubarb patch. She puts rhubarb into everything! (Because Depression Era farm folks won't waste anything.) Every pie she makes; every jam she makes; every cake she makes - added rhubarb. She even drinks rhubarb "juice". Blehh.
Tom & I will eat rhubarb once or twice each spring and then we are freaking done!
Frozen yogurt is okay but I like sherbert better. (Lol at Chris picking the yogurt!)
I'm boycotting Dreyer's (Edy's) ice cream because they lowered their cartons to 1.5 qts.
I love rhubarb. I love ice cream. I love frozen yogurt.
Do you have any left?
*hopeful look*
LOL. I've never had rhubarb anything. Will you make that for me if I come and visit again?
I like a good blackberry cobbler with ice cream. I tend to agree with Chris on this one. I would prefer Bryers anyday over yogurt. Anyday.
