Summer vacation

First off, I'm in a better mood today. Must've been Swami's rainbow sherbert.

What a busy summer it's starting to be. This always happens.

This weekend: flying lessons 3 hours away, MIL's retirement home to move some things, Furthermore Shitty Barn Party (local beer brewer annual party at their converted barn offices), going away dinner for Korean visiting professor/welcome party for Thai visiting professor.

July 4-6: Friday and Saturday at BIL's house for annual party

July 11-14: Vacation in Michigan. We are visiting:
Lawton: Old Hat Brewery
Marshall: Dark Horse Brewing
Battle Creek: Arcadia
Kalamazoo: Bells, Old Peninsula Brewpub
Grand Rapids: Hideout, Grand Rapids Brewing, Schmohz Brewing, B.O.B.s House of Brews, Founders Brewing (and a Breezy peep meet!)
Spring Lake: Old Boys Brew House
Holland: New Holland Brewing
Benton Harbor: The Livery

I was able to use hotel reward points, so lodging will be free!

July 18 & 19 free!

July 26 & 27: A group is coming down and staying at our house and we are going to American Player's Theatre

August 1-3: Camping with my sister and BIL

August 8-10: Madison Mallards game (Baseball, Boo!), Brewery cruise in Milwaukee with friends

August 12-18: Boston for fun and for 3-Day (this also means Boo-time and maybe some Monsty-time)

August 22-24: Dinner lake crusie

August 29-Sept. 1: Chicago Peep Meet

Then, it's back to school for me. *pout* This summer is going too fast.

Ummmm when are you going to Spring Lake? That's like right here, two minutes from my orafice.

Will you adopt me so I can have some fun this summer?

Really? We'll be there on Sunday, Breezy (after Grand Rapids, making the swing back south along the lake, towards home). I'm guessing you won't be at work Sunday, but if that's better for you than Saturday in GR, let me know!

Know anybody that's been to that brewery and has opinons?

Swami, we always have room in our backseat. ooh, that sounds dirty.

I'll have to ask around to see if anyone has been there.

ummmm south? You do know that Spring Lake is north of GR right? *giggle*

Well, head towards the lake, then south. We are making kind of a big circle. Probably staying in Holland or Benton Harbor Sunday night. Depends on which brewery Chris picks. We can't do both based on time.

Yay for baseball!!!!!!!

I feel the same way. I think every weekend but one from here until the end of August has something going on.

Admittedly, it's more about sitting in the "Duck Blind" area where there's free food and drink on a summer's night...and the tickets were free. But I can have fun cheering with the best of them. :-)

Is Kellogg's still located in Battle Creek, Michigan? You have a great summer planned!

LOL, Puffy! When we took a trip to Michigan as a kid (dad wanted to see some museum, mom wanted to see the tulips in Holland), I just wanted to see the Kellogg's factory. I didn't get to see it. :-(

I'm going to have to check into it. Maybe I can get my long lost tour and find Tony the Tiger for a photo opp.

That's way too much busy stuff. I need a nap after just reading what your plans are.
More power to ya, girl.

*pout* I wish I were on your route.

I'm with ya, clown. I prefer more quiet time in the summer to lay on the patio and read, cocktail and relax.

Bravie. How many times have we told you to move?

Breezy said...

Yes Kelloggs is still in Battle Creek.

Part of me wishes I had that many fun things lined up for the summer but part of my is happy about just being able to hang out at the cottage and do whatever I feel like at the moment. Like the clowngirl, I got tired just reading your plans.

We have a wedding in August and one in September. Other than that? Nothing so far.

*gasp* Cereal City USA by Kellogg's has closed due to poor attendance. *sobs* Another childhood dream lost.
