1) Saturday was fun. We hit breweries and such in the central Wisconsin area (Steven's Point is the only town you MIGHT recognize from there, but I highly doubt it). It was a very fun time. Here's a picture of Chris, me and and our friend Mark at O'so brewery and brewing supply (Breezy: Mark and his wife may come with on our Michigan brew tour this summer, so you might meet them).
2) Sunday I did a lot of those pesky cleaning projects. I took down all the decor on top of my kitchen cabinets, cleaned it off and orange-cleaned all the kitchen cabinetry. Then I cleaned the basement. It felt good to get those things done.
3) Decking. $2000 for the deck, $2000 for the railing. WTF? So I think we are doing the decking and just using treated lumber for the railing for now. We can paint it to match the deck and maybe in a few years we'll put the matching railing up. $2000 for effing rails just doesn't sit well with me. I'm very iritated about it.

OMG! Look how long your hair has gotten? You look fab.u.lous
*snapping fingers in that "zee" way*
*primps hair* Why thank you. :-)
I have never been to Steven's Point.
I noticed your hair too! It is really getting long! Beautiful as well, of course.
*sigh* Jealousy at the freedom to go do fun stuff!
Well fun stuff sans kids.
Sans is a funny word, no?
I love "sans."
DF-I need to email you. Free anytime on Saturday?
ooooh me likey the long hair. How do you like it?
I see that Chris' hair isn't getting any longer.
You two are looking wonderful as usual! Miss you guys.
Ack! I don't want to hear how much a deck is going to cost. We HAVE to replace the one at the cottage before someone falls through it. I'm sure I'll be as irritated as you when I get a quote for our deck. :(
*smoooch*
I know I commented here earlier. Hmmm.
I think you look beautiful. I love your hair.
2. I almost cleaned some closets. Almost. Connect 4 seemed a little more enticing.
2B. That's why we have wood railing. PITA.
LOL, I too was shocked to see no comment from me, here!
Anyways, what everyone else said...great pic of you guys! I'm super jealous of anyone with long hair now, lol!
I came here to comment about your hair, too! Woo-woo!
I cleaned this weekend, too. My house is annoying me lately with its dirt and disorganization.
That seems like an excessive amount of money for railing, but I guess it's more intricate. How big is your deck going to be?
1. Tom talks about Stevens P{oint now and then. I can't remember if he ever lived there or if he just audited some company there, back when he was a travelling auditor. Didn't they have a famous Record Cold Event there once? Like -52' or something? Tom was there that day, auditing away.
2. I have people for cleaning, lol. All because Bob bought a Roomba.
3. I hate all commercial deck rails because they are ugly, costly and block the view. Tom and I made up our own railings using galvanized pipe crossbars which we spray painted metallic copper. These look very cool, totally copper and don't block the view.
I'm getting jealous about everybody hitting on you. Make them stop. Don't they know that I love you best? hrmph.
Geez, leave for a day and everyone shows up here. This pleases me.
Thanks for all the hair compliments. I think I'm keeping it around this length. Any longer and it just gets snarly. I have mucho layers in it right now and that makes the length work, yet I can still put it up.
The deck...It's about 12 x 12 upper deck with a 12 x 3 lower landing. That connects to the paver patio I laid last year. We have the frame done for the upper deck, already, so that's less cost.
Swami-please post a picture of your railing! I don't like commercial railings, so it's not a huge issue for me, but am always up for considering something new and funky.
Bravie-You know my heart belongs to you.
