I don't have time for cheese today!
Bartleby is coming home today, so I'm off to get him before 8 to avoid another day's charge. I was at work at 6:15 this morning. *yawn* And it's an hour drive here...so yeah, already a long morning.
I'll be working from home most of this week, which means slllooooooow internet connection. *pout*

*big hugs* Slow connection or not, I'm glad that you will be able to be home with your baby. *smooch*
*smooooochies for Bartleby*
I finally got my pictures back from Chicago. Not many, but I made a copy for you and will send them to you.
*kittysmooches* glad you get to pick him up today.
Wow Kim, I'm so sorry! *BIG HUGS* Glad to hear Bartleby is on the mend and that you'll get to spend time with him at home.
*smooch* Me too! I'm glad you get be home with Bartleby.
Bartleby is a strong kitty. How do you pronouce such a name.
Bart' el be?
Kim, I'm glad Bartleby is alright! Why do these things always happen on long weekends?
My cats eat only IAMs original. And all the baby bunnies they can catch.
I don't read OT. Was it an iatrogenic urinary leak problem?
Glad Bartleby is able to come home today Weltek! But sorry for your drive and slow connection!
I would suggest you bring him along on Saturday, but I don't think my cats would be as welcoming as I would.
Yay for Bartleby!!! Hope his homecoming goes smoothly!
Slow connection? Welcome to my world. *sigh*
*hands out slices of Do-Re-Mi cheese* It's a grillable cheese that we use on the Raclette. Mmmmm!
*hugs to all*
Bartleby is doing ok. I'm mostly keeping him confined to the master bed/bath. He's eating a little, which is a good sign. We took a nap and I let him take his cone off for a few hours. That pleased him. Poor pets that have to wear cones. It can't feel good.
Lasann-It's pronounced Bartelbee. It's from the movie Dogma.
Swami-it ended up being stones that were blocking his urethra and thus made his bladder spring a leak near the urethra. We are sending the stones off for analysis next week. Apparently they can tell us something.
Feel my pain-I have to give him drugs by myself. One liquid (the easier) and one pill. Chris will be home to help with dose #2.
And thanks, lightsy, for filling in on cheese duty!!!
I'm glad that you'll be able to be home with Bartleby this week. We feed my cat IAMS. My sympathies on having to give the meds all by yourself. Yikes! Put on the work gloves!
Yay, Bartleby is back home.
Kim, I don't know if you've ever done the pill thing on a kitty before but I've found a way that works pretty good if you have to do it alone.
Kneel on the floor and position the cat between your kness facing away from you. With one hand, gently tilt his head back and squeeze the corners of his mouth until his mouth opens.
With the other hand, pop in the pill. The hold his mouth shut and stroke his throat.
Works every time.
Just don't let him back out through your knees.
And its great news that he's on the mend.
Yay, I'm so glad you're kitty is coming home. Wooooo!!
*sending get well vibes to Bartleby*
That's the method we use, MC, although I hadn't considered massaging this throat as he swallows.
