By waltz, I mean listening to music and enjoying some cocktails. *grin*
The Packers AND Badgers won today. Wooo AND Hoo! Plus, Detroit beat Oakland, so Bravie must be laughing.
We didn't plan anything for our anniversary. Mostly because Bartleby's emergency drained our spare cash. After the Packer game we headed to a nearby town to buy some steaks and have some drinks. We ended up at the country club that is just a few miles from our house. We always forget about it, but it's so beautiful and they like to keep the clientel small. They give you a basket of homemade kettle chips with your drinks, so I was almost too full to eat my steak when we got home.
We realized that we are most at ease when we are out having cocktails on a weekend, with no plan in sight. We don't even think about work and just laugh and are mellow. It's not even the alcohol. It's just always been our escape and time to laugh with eachother. Hard to describe the complete ease we feel.
I love Chris. And I love how he accepts my online world with open arms. As many hurdles are thrown out, I always make it through with the love of my DH and my friends. *smooch to everyone*

Having met you both, I can say you sure seem "meant for each other". Of course I mean that in a completely complimentary manner!
Oh, and the Brewers won too, and the Cubs lost! Whooo Hoooo!
Didn't you just love that shovel pass that Brett lobbed to one of the rookies?!
Again, Happy Anniversary!
I DID love that shovel pass (technically there were TWO of those!). And yep, I was happy to hear the Brewers won, too! Great weekend for WI sports!
*smooch* Thanks, DF.
*smoooooooch*
shovel? Isn't it called shuttle? *head tilt*
It was an ugly win, but I'll take the win.
I have no complaints about football yet this week. Course, the 49ers haven't played yet. *snort*
I was pissed that they cut off the last minute of the Packer game here in order to show the Raider game. I would rather watch the end of a good game than the start of another game. Grrrr.
But in the end, it all worked out. *giddy*
I'm still in shock that the Lions beat the Raiders.
Don't be. The Raiders suck. Plus they are still having a QB controversy and a signing of the big headed rookie controversy. Not to mention that their new head coach hasn't even gone through puberty yet. *grin*
Awwwwwwww. *smooches to you and to Chris*
Thank Cod for Breezy. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I just read "shovel pass" and thought the same thing. Then I googled it and found out they're the same thing. I wasn't going to post anything until I saw Breezy's post.
And, where is your JOY about the Redskins' win?
Maybe using shovel pass is a Wisconsin thing. And as long as it's still called the Lombardi Trophy, I think we're correct. :-)
*yawn* The Redwho?
shovel and shuttle are both acceptable terms. The difference is in how they toss the ball. Shuttle is passed backhanded and shovel is when the QB holds the ball in their palm and does a screen type pass. :)
Football geek.
Tom and I always have the best time when we just hit the road without a plan. Nothing is sweeter than just being happy together, is there?
I actually watched some football this weekend but I still don't care about it like I used to. We are in, like, our 10th year of random stupid political manoeverings to build a new stadium with public money. The big league greed has just killed my interest big league football. I say there is plenty of money in Big Football - let 'em build their own stadiums. Public money should be for public schools and roads and bridges and such.
YAY for you and Chris!
Awwwwwww! You guys are so cute. Who'd have thought after a few years of trouble, life would be so good!?!? Yay!!!
*smoooooooooches* to you and Chris
Congrats to you and Chris....Two super-great peeps.
And yay for football! While not a huge Bills fan (geographically, they are the closest to me), it was a bit heart-breaking to see them lose to Denver on that last-second kick.
People are euphoric here after a Redskins win. Over the Dolphins...in overtime.
Meh.
Happy Anniversary! (That was very sweet)
I'm glad that you had such a nice anniversary. I think it's great that you're both OT peeps. Happy Anniversary!
Happy belated anniversary Kim! Glad you enjoyed your weekend.
