A salad of mixed greens, tomatoes, and fresh, sliced mozzarella with a balsamic italian vinegarette.
I walked 14 miles on Saturday. I found a great bike/hike path to walk on for these long distances. It's about a 30 minute drive, but hooks up with the state park with the pool. :-) I realized about an hour into the walk that I should've eaten more than a bowl of cereal two hours before the walk. I found some ripe blackberries along the path, though, so all was good.
I seal coated the patio...that didn't go well. I have marks on it that will need to be sanded out. Sigh.
I went pea picking at our CSA farm. Anybody want some snap peas?
I'm loving A Thousand Splendid Suns. Has anyone else started it? I'm not very far, but am already engrossed.
My Celebrity Gossip: I think Playmate Kendra (one of Hef's girlfriends) is related to Bravie. They look a lot alike.

If I were to jump the fence, I'd want my girlfriend to be like Bridget. She is too freakin' cute for words.
It took about 3.5 hours. I forgot to look at the clock when I got back, but it was between 3 and 4 hours. It felt so good! I had a little solo picnic afterwards and went for a short swim. I figured a short swim would keep my muscles moving and help prevent cramps. Seemed to have worked.
Bridget is adorable, I agree.
I was going to bring Suns to work today and start reading at lunchtime, but I forgot it. *pout*

I walked 4 on Saturday, 2 yesterday and 3.5 today. I can only do at most 5 -6 in the mornings, and that's getting up and out the door at 5 a.m.
I'm going to start doing that, and then I'm going to have to squeeze in some in the evening hours (like 8-9 p.m. range). I don't think I'm going to get up to 20 in any one day before we go, but I promise you I will make it.
Oh, and I started Suns. Before I read Kite Runner, I would have never thought I'd be interested in this kind of read, but he is an awesome writer.

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention, I tried a new balsamic vinagrette this weekend and love, love, loved it. So good. It's become my new fav salad dressing.

I'm reading The Curious Incident with the Dog at Night Time. I had to come in though because the sun is getting too hot and my back is already burned. *pout* But I think I've cooled down now so I'm going to go back to reading my book. *grin*

It was awesome, Swami. It was in the mid 70s for most of my walk with a little breeze.
I've never heard of this Curious Incident book. I'll have to check that out.

I took the boy out last night for a 5k power walk (45 min.. It was pretty humid last night, so I was soaked and he was asleep by the time we got home.
But boy did it feel good.

I forgot to talk about the chick on the ship the day we were leaving. We were up by the pool (smoking) and this woman up there looked and moved and talked and everything like Carey except she was very skinny... not that Carey isn't but this girl was very skinny. I said, "That girl walks just like Carey.... ohmigawd she smokes and talks just like her too... and she even stands like her! and her hair is just like that." So Shawn said maybe it was her and maybe she was stalking me.
