Shopping!

Phyllo wrapped brie and herbs today.

I like shopping when I have a mission. Yesterday's missions? Walking shoes and Bath & Body Works.

Shoes
I went to a specialty store in Madison. They are mostly focused on running, but it was ok, they respected walkers, too. :-)

Apparently I don't pronate as much as I thought, so that was good. I tried on 12 pairs of shoes, and tried most of them out on the treadmill and sidewalk. The salesgirl was very patient. It came down to a pair of Women's Saucony ProGrid™ Triumph 4s or the Brooks Radius 6. Both felt good for very different reasons. The Brooks offered more support, but the Saucony offered more cushiony feelings. I was really undecided. I went with the cheaper Brooks. As the girl said, frankly, you can wear the best cushioned shoes on your walk and your feet will still hurt at the end of 60 miles. I decided not twisting and ankle was more important and the Brooks were also less bulky.

Bath and Body Works
*dreamy sigh* I power shopped and it was fun. Here were my grabs:
3 shower gels
2 creamy lotions
2 body butters
2 travel sized things
1 new scent trial size lotion
1 travel sized shower pouf (I've been dreaming of a smaller one and there it was for $1!)
4 packs of Wallflower refills

All for about $50. *dreamy sigh*

OMG! How did I miss the $1 shower poufs? Must.go.back. :D

The Wallflowers for $5 were a steal!

They are at the checkout at my B&BW. :-)

I know...the wallflowers! I usually purchase them at 2/$20 and mumble about how it's still expensive. At $5? I'm totally behind that. No guilt necessary.

How long is the sale for? I need more Wallflowers and am leaving town tonight!

I have no idea what pronating is. I'm glad you don't do it though. It sounds dangerous.

Breezy, the sale on the Wallflowers runs until June 10th.

Maybe there's a B&BW in South Beach? I bet there is!

Breezy-I think the sales change weekly during the semi-annual sale. You can always order online. The shipping probably justifies the cheapo price.

Oooooh that reminds me, I was going to see if we'll be near a Lush. *grin*

Breezy: That will give you something to do while the other girls party.

Oh. I thought BBW was for big busted women! ;) Actually, my DD loves that place and went Monday to the sale on her last day in Idaho. She got lots of stuff for cheap. She is not a BBW.

Thanks for the reminder to go to B&BW! I must stock up on more Sweet Pea body cream!

And what is pronating??

There's a Lush opening in the Mall right down the street from work. I check the mall's website about once a week to see if it's open yet. I'm going to have to seriously restrain myself. :0
So the cure for being crabby is going shopping? I need to shop then I guess.

I've also been to B&BW for the big sale. I got one of the soft fluffy robes for 75% off! YAY! My new favorite scent is the exotic coconut. Yummmm...I also picked up a couple of Mentha Lip Shines, one Root Beer and the other with an SPF 15.

Oh, new LUSH store. I'm glad I don't live near one. I'm trying to decide if I want to try the conditioner bravie likes.
