I'll be cooking a big Tuscan dinner for one set of in-laws (the foodie ones) on either Thanksgiving or Christmas. Potential dishes that reflect our dining experiences:
-Roasted veggies
-Roasted lamb or Wild boar (we'd just use regular pork unless I could wrangle up some wild boar)
-Tagliatelle with beef and tomatoes or Lamb ravioli or Shrimp spaghetti (using ground shrimp-surprisingly good) or Gnocci with cheese and tomato sauce. I'll likely pick two.
-Panna Cotta with blueberry red wine sauce
In other cooking news, I have a potluck party as my boss's house on Thursday. I'm making the crockpot butternut squash soup I love, and drizzling it with honey because Tummy told me to last year.

I have no idea what half of this menu is, but I'll hold out my plate anyway.
I'm so happy you're home. Even though you're still half way across the country from me. And, while you did an excellent job updating, I just feel better knowing you're home.
Conner too. I think it's the Packers connection. He asks about you often.
*smooches* It's nice to be missed!
I've only ever had lambchops, and haven't been able to sell Chris on how good they are. He thinks it's weird to eat lamb. But on this trip, he had a more open mind and also enjoyed both the leg of lamb and the lamb sausage ravioli.
This meal is going to be a lot of work. Homemade pasta is a PITA, but so worth it.
I agree with Chris that it's weird. One day I would love to make homemade pasta, but that day is a long way away.
